Which do you prefer ? Older doctors (in their late 50s or 60s ) or younger doctor like fresh out of medical school or even in their 30s ? I found that older doctors are more knowledgable and caring in a way, and younger doctors these days rush you on your visit and based too much on the 'book'. What do you guys think ? Would love to hear

I had (still do) problems with my prostate and my urologist was young and good looking. He was very professional but at times seemed embarrassed when examining me. He referred me to another doctor who was a bit older (late 40's). Now we had a very thorough examination. Had on a hospital gown and laid on a table. Entering the room he was very cordial and talked constantly. He kept telling me not to be embarrassed as he lifted the gown up to my neck exposing my naked self to him. I asked him wouldn't it be easier to just take off the gown and he said "if it wouldn't make you uncomfortable' I said since you're telling me not be to embarrassed OK. The gown came off and I lay there totally exposed but really was rather enjoying it. He put a tube in my penis to look at my prostate. It was a bit uncomfortable but not painful. He held on to my penis as he slowly pulled it out and rubbed my penis up and down a bit to ease it out. I started to get hard and he said "might as well get a sperm sample". I said "do you have a special machine for that" he said yes and showed me his hand. He also gave me the option of doing it myself, but I liked him and said to go for it. Spreading my legs wide apart and pulling me down to near the edge of the table he asked if I used any lube. Being uncut I said not usually all the while he was slowly rubbing my dick. He said he was going to apply some lube even though it wasn't necessary because it would cause me to cum quicker. He knew what he was doing as he pulled down my foreskin and very slowly began masturbating me. Telling me to just relax and enjoy it, which I was he stopped and said to let him know when I was ready and he went to get a small vile to catch the sperm. I don't know what he was doing but I was rock hard and he slowly inserted his finger in my ass. He reached my prostate and I started to buck off the table. He said to relax and was rubbing very slowly and I was trying to fuck his hand, but he said to let him be in control and enjoy it. I told him I was ready, pulled his finger out and put the vile under my dick and I came like I hadn't cum since a teen. He capped the vile and cleaned me up and started stroking me on my stomach and chest. Made an appointment for the next month, but was back with the young Dr. again.

Like this thread... I have never had a doctor older than me. I like going to a doctor that is younger. It's my thought that younger Doctors are more in touch with today's problems and issues. Most importantly they know about all about today advances in medicine and treatments.

My Primary Doctor , who is also my HIV specialist is 5 yrs younger than me. He is very knowledgeable with the way Gay men interact with each other. I can discuss anything with him, and he understands what I am talking about... he is gay too.

My Urologist is in his late 30's. He is fantastic and straight. I can also discuss anything with him and he listens. What I love about him is he ask question, never afraid to learn. I've never had a doctor that was a compassionate as him. Extremely caring for Urological men's health. He know's his shit too. Heck he is the Director of Men's Health of 5 different medical clinic in his area.... OMG cute as hell too.

My previous Doctor was late 50's and I bravely went to him with problems maintaining erections and he told me it was something I had to live with it.
On visiting last year I was introduced to my new Doctor, age I would estimate late 20s possibly 30s. I went over a problem with a rash on my leg.
After dealing with that he asked if there was anything else he could help with to which I replied no. He then asked if my erection problems had sorted themselves out to which I replied no but we were having to live with it. He asked the problems which I replied honestly that I could get erections and penetrate my wife quite easily but, after a few minutes of pumping, I wilted and could not cum from penetrative sex. He asked about cumming and I said by hand manipulation there was no problem. He then asked (with me turning scarlet with embarrassment) if that was the only way I could cum. I queried this and he asked about other types of penile simulation. I admitted I could cum from a tit fuck but my wife was not into oral in anyway.
He said that he felt that Viagra should solve the problem and have not looked back since and seem to never fail to cum in the pussy (if I want) and succeed in making her orgasm as well
The Doctor is married to the assistant in the pharmacy and every time I go for a repeat prescription for Viagra she seems to serve me and gives me a knowing look.

In the past, my doctors have been older than me. During the past year, after a relocation, my new doctor is a 44 year old Vietnamese man. He is a DO as opposed to a MD and displays a very open and caring disposition. He is very hands on and very thorough. Every visit, I am stripped from the waist up and always includes a very lengthy respiratory exam which I love due to my intense medical fetish. ;) I have a complete physical schedule very soon that I am looking very forward to. I am already wondering about the extent of undress as I was told this exam would include an EKG and prostate exam!

My primary care provider is early to mid 60's as well as one of my specialist. Urologist until he moved to another state was late 30's. Urologist was very thorough. He'd even chub me up when he was doing his Initial exam. Pulled on my penis stretched it out as far as he could while I was soft. Not exactly sure why he did that. But he covered everything from front to back checked my testicles and did a prostate exam and all while my trousers were around my ankles. If all my drs were as thorough as he was I'd be happy. Now I've got to find another urologist.

I prefer younger vs older for different reasons... 1) to stay with me for a long time vs older that will retire and pass me off to someone I don't know; and 2) hopefully up to speed with more modern concerns/remedies/etc.

I have been going to a female (Harvard grad) since she was in mid-30's and hope she will be with me for a long time.

I've had both, and always female. The older one seemed rougher and bored with the job. Had a younger one that was very excited to help with any of the weird health issues I have. She did a full exam once and I don't think it was my imagination that she maybe wasn't totally professional when it came to the penis exam part.

Everything depends on the personality of the doctor. Young or old, if they listen to my concerns and do a little "troubleshooting" to uncover a medical problem, then I'm happy. I always remind them that I've lived with my body for many years, and usually know what's normal or abnormal FOR ME. I hate doctors that day, "it sounds like", or "it might be". I want them to look. Do testing, if necessary, and tell me what it is, or what it isn't, and then prescribe the appropriate treatment.
I recently found myself in need of a new doctor and wound up with someone much younger - mid- thirties. I was expecting an arrogant know-it-all, but was pleasantly surprised at how patient and thorough he was. He has become the best doctor I've ever had. After my first visit for a sinus infection, he insisted I return for a full physical. Him being younger, I expected him to gloss over the testicular and prostate exam. He insisted on performing both, and did so professionally and thoroughly, gaining my trust and respect.

My family doc from birth to age 19 was awesome. Old guy, took his time, asked the right questions and calmed my fears when I was a teen unconfident with my changing body. Since he retired, I haven't found anybody to compare. I'd prefer an older doc unless I need a specialist.

I go to a clinic at a local hospital where I see residents. The one I see now is a second year resident and is very respectful and energetic. I had some bad experiences with middle age doctors in their private practice, always in a hurry and pissed off if you dared to question them. I had one complain about having to do a prostate exam, he told me that he hated it. It goes with the territory,
maybe he should have become a barber.

I'm in my mid 50's and doctor, a female is in her forties. She is very through with exams. I take my time, slowly undressing when having to be totally naked for her examinations, If I have a boner, she treats it a sign, I'm in good health.

I have all female doctors from 30 something to 50 something. They are all very professional. I’ve had doctors who were flippant with me when I asked them questions before and I never went back to them. To many out there to put up with that.

It really depends. I've had good experiences with both. I think young doctors come into the field of medicine with a sense of enthusiasm sometimes and are excited to really showcase what they've learned. Young doctors also benefit from learning about new medicines and new techniques. On the flip side, I've had older doctors that are great but have also had those that are just going through the motions of being a doctor and don't show any compassion.

I got a new Dr last year due to the one I had dying from a brain tumor . I knew the previous Dr of many years would be hard to replace. The new one, who is 33, seems very capable, but I have noticed that he is uncomfortable with nudity. He did my hernia exam while I wore a gown and reached up under to do the exam. No prostrate exam at all. Just seems odd for a dr. Otherwise, he is very capable and I like his volunteerism with the homeless.
I think I would find a Dr. who is not uncomfortable doing a prostrate exam. He might miss an enlarged prostrate or even worse cancer of the prostrate.

I have found that younger doctors seem uncomfortable with nudity, too.

Because of what I said in the post above, I have a preference for older doctors.

The best, most thorough, and least concerned with modesty, doctors that I have had, have been retired military doctors. Had two of those over the years.

While in college I developed a medical fetish. In reality it wasn't so much a medical fetish as it was an excuse to be naked (hopefully) in the presence of another man and since I had yet to come out and had not discovered massages I thought the only way anyone would see my dick would be to have a physical exam. So I paged through the yellow pages and searched for either GP or urologists to make an appointment. Back then a physical was only around $10 so it wasn't so bad. One doctor (since this topic is older/younger) was quite old. Pure white hair, very thin, etc. who decided that nude was best. He didn't have a nurse or receptionist and was all alone. There was no one else in the office but us and he told me not to worry that we were alone and no one would come in so being naked was not a problem. He did the usual Bp, heart check, weight, etc. and then told me to lie on the table. Very touchy all along my legs and chest and stomach. Told me to turn over and bend over and did the prostate exam which was my first. Well he spent quite a bit of time in there and I was starting to get hard. He couldn't see it, but said not to worry if I get an erection. Still, being this was a first for me I was becoming embarrassed. Turning me over he went right for my dick saying what a strong erection it was and pulled down my foreskin. He asked me if I have trouble with the skin and I said no. Then he asked if I masturbate. I looked shocked I guess and he said that there's no one around and I'm a doctor so you can confide in me cause we're both men. I said yes and he told me to show him. How did I hold my penis when I did it. I said I just hold it, but he took hold of it an said like this or this? Holding it in various ways. I showed him and he said that masturbating was very healthy, but not to overdo it. He asked how many times a day and did I cum a lot. All this talking was getting to me and even though I was not attracted to him I was still turned on. Then he said to get dressed. It was like I hit a wall. I don't know what else I expected. Maybe to actually jerk off in front of him, but that was it. One of the strangest exams, but from that I was hooked.
