Older man soon to be circumcised

I'm an older man in his 50's soon to be circumcised for medical reasons. My urologist advised it would be a same-day surgery, little pain and I would be able to continue anal sex after a week or two. These statements make me nervous and whether he's truly qualified. However, my biggest question is regarding what kind of briefs I should wear post-op. My penis is almost 8 inches in length and thick. I know I can't pack it in like I normally do for a few weeks. Has any of you had a circ late in life or know of someone who has? Are their special briefs I could get or some sort of penis cap? The doctor has little input but I think it's because he is aware I'm bi since I brought up anal sex.

Dude i had moine at 19 and the dr advised me to get some type of briefs to support your unit the first few weeks is murder wkth the night erections pulling on the stiches sex 4 to 6 week untill it is completely healed.
