Being aware of our roots, that we were reptiles before becoming animals, its intriguing how the mind works. Our first brain, the reptile one, is probably responsible for us being carnivores. Our second brain, the animal stage, is no doubt responsible for developing our social skills. Weve retained both these brains which are now buried deep inside our modern brain where theyre still active. Knowing this helps us understand why we act and feel the way we do; why we lust after younger or older woman but of course being civilised we say were attracted or drawn to.
Its the dominant male thing; the head of the troop favouring his young nubile females, the older females with less chance of being impregnated being shoved to one side, but still under his watchful gaze. He then has the juvenile and young maturing males to contend with, warding them off from what the law of the jungle says is rightfully his. The young ones sneak in where they can, practice makes perfect, and are often grateful for the older, slower female on the periphery while the dominant male turns a blind eye remaining close to the younger more fertile females. However, the older females eventually become too old, despite the males having the ability to father young right up to the day they die, the old gals are no longer attractive or of use to anyone.
Though more intelligent, were still basically animals and still have the same drives despite their meaning being lost somewhere in the ether. So being attracted to older woman is a natural phenomena, especially when young. The older a man becomes however, that age gap may well close.
