Olive Oil As a Lube

Most people should have absolutely no problems with any plant based oils. EVOO is great and in fact is a good skin moisturizer. The only problems would be for a person specifically allergic to this kind of product. The problems come when men choose products that (and there are some that have even used STP and Automatic Transmission Fluid) are derived from petrochemical sources.

What's the best way to go about heating it up?

It feels even better if you warm the bottle of oil in a bowl of hot water first.

I remember a discussion about this, but the part that I can't remember was the verdict on its safety with condoms. Since it's not petroleum-base, is it safe with latex?

Unfortunately no. Like all oils - vegetable, animal or mineral, it will weaken latex.

Seems like olive oil would draw roaches to your body while you were sleeping.

Only sophisticated gourmet mediterranean roaches, surely?

Yes, olive oil is excellent. I like to have some fresh crusty bread nearby to mop up any excess, and a glass of a good red to wash it all down.
