The whole thing didn't make sense, one of the opening scenes was Eddie with Hen and Karen talking about how Buck has been trying to help them talk through their grief only for later apparently Buck hasn't tried to talk to Eddie at all? Its contradicting and didn't make sense. Especially since we haven't seen Buck talk about his grief(outside of the priest) with anyone.

I think it didn’t make sense to you because you weren’t paying attention. The whole conversation at Hen & Karen’s house was about how Buck was AVOIDING actually talking to his friends/family about his feelings and taking it upon himself to try to “fix” everyone and how his attempts to do so weren’t actually helping anyone.

And then the argument in Eddie’s kitchen was the breaking point for both of them - as a consequence of Buck trying to be everyone’s therapist instead of their friend - and because they each don’t really have a partner to share in their grief like Hen and Chimney. Both Buck and Eddie handled their emotions poorly but that’s what grief does to people.

Years ago either here or at Datalounge someone claimed to have hooked up with Peter. I can totally see him being charmed by Oliver, and it has crossed my mind that they might have dated. Obviously who knows what has happened. With actors you never know what you get, they're all hustlers and swindlers. And I say that lovingly (but it's still true).
