I would have named the person..." But, NO.."
The person was hurt enough.." Eventhought, they hurt me with their dumb PM.." Knowing how hard it is for me here in HAWAII.."
But, in a way.." They really HELPED me.." I have desided to stay on the base to work.."

No one ever lies on the internet. Especially when posting recipes. I used to love this when I was a meat-eater. Damn' I miss cheese.

IMPOSSIBLE CHEESEBURGER PIE

1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. Bisquick
3 eggs
2 tomatoes, diced
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Optional: Green peppers & mushrooms

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 10 x 1 1/2 inch square pan. Brown beef or turkey and onion together and drain off fat. Stir in salt and pepper; spread in pan. Beat in a bowl milk, Bisquick and eggs until smooth.Pour into pan over meat mixture. Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees, then top with tomatoes and cheese. Return to oven and bake about 10-15 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before serving. Serves 6-8.

Needless to say, I got it from a box of bisquick, back in high school. It is a perfect, allowance-friendly lunch for a pack of school-skipping delinquents.

Sometimes it's not just the obvious indiscrepancies or inconsistencies in what people say it's just a general feeling, an instinct that they're not being honest, they throw off an 'I'm a big fat liar' vibe. A lot of people say ignore it it's the net, but the net is just another form of communication and should be conducted honestly, if someone I know in real life is telling stinking huge fibs I'd confront them on it, as I would do on the net. People can easily become over involved with other people on the net and I've seen a lot of people get hurt by liars. Name and shame I say, I've only ever once experienced problems with someone on the net and when I named the person about 20 people in the room came out of the woodwork and said 'oh yeah she did that to us too', now if her little game had been exposed in the first place a lot of people would have been saved a lot of hassle.

OMG! I love anything made with Bisquick!
My grandmother used to live with us and swore by it.
My mother however thought it was a product of the devil. :frown1:

Why not start a "Wall of Shame" thread or something, name the fakes and the liars for all to see?

Personally, I assume about everyone is fake, especially those assholes without pics up......

How are we defining a lie. Aren't there degrees of truth?

My ex-beau was a devout Catholic and though I don't remember what the fight was about; I do remember his fuzzy logic. His argument for being in the right..."a sin of omission is still a sin." I believe he called it a venial sin.

When I was about 5 or 6 I asked my mother why people call little white lies, little white lies? She quickly responded, "because Black people don't tell lies." I was 10 before I realized she was lying. :biggrin1:   Why did it take that long? That's easy, I rarely had contact with Black people who were not blood relatives until about that age. I know my family never lied to me.:biggrin1::smile::biggrin1::smile:

As you know I am a Black woman. What most of you don't know is that I grew up in an upper middle class White neighborhood. This is background for the previous exchange which really did happen. Did my mother lie to me? Of course she did. Did it hurt me? No. I think perhaps some perspective and leeway should be allowed here.

FYI - If anyone is bored enough to check my almost 1200 posts the one lie/inconsistency you will find is my weight. Hey, I'm a girl it's allowed. I lied about it on my driver's license and my ABC card, too so there. Why on earth would I tell a bunch of strangers on the internet the truth about my weight? :biggrin1:  :biggrin1:

Not that I'm liar in REAL life, but the fact you mentioned above [this being an internet site full of strangers] gives me no qualms about telling the truth here. This is due largely to the element of anonymity the internet provides. I'm more open about my life here, than almost anywhere else.
