Bennington is an odd place, renown for its dedication to individualism and left-of-center politics. I was, therefore, a bit surprised to see Bennington's president, Liz Coleman, give a TED talk about the need to reinvigorate and reinvent classical liberal arts education. The case she makes is compelling and insightful.

If you have any interest in education at any level, I urge you to watch her TED talk. It's only 18 minutes but well worth it. I'm interested in hearing what educators and others have to say about it.

Very intererested in education here. Its a significant part of my job.

I'm all for more classics in the classroom.

I'd shudder to contemplate living in a world dominated by liberal arts major types but I'd shudder even more to contemplate a world dominated by techies.
