Jesus was a liberal. [/QUOTE]before making any such statement, you might want to become familiar with what God requires, and compare that with the lib agenda
actually, no
My dear Nick ---- just so you are FULLY aware...........it truly WAS the conservative traditionalists who nailed Jesus to his cross........AND I know of no place in the Bible where it says: "Blessed are the rich -- for they must be absolved of higher taxes!" The Bible DOES say however --- "To whom MUCH is given -- much is expected." AND...."I was hungry, and you fed me, naked and you clothed ME (see the whole quote from the last judgment in Matthew 25.) Once again......my Bible just doesn't say, "I have......you don't --- tough crap!" I fully believe Jesus would be much more in the Liberal Camp of American politics than he would be in the Conservative camp --- and moreover........Jesus CERTAINLY was not a capitalist!!!!! To Wall Street he would say: I blessed you beyond your wildest dreams -- and you tore down your barns to build bigger barns --- while you made SURE that your brothers and sisters worked harder and harder for less and less! Enjoy it now -- for someday..."the first shall be last, and the last shall be first!"

Micah 6:8 (King James Version)
8He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8 - Passage
Typical of the Eighth Century prophets was Micah's passage quoted above; Please note that when you read and study Micah's anger, it was about the construction of the administrative, and judicial overlay that the poor of his day suffered under, echoed by Jesus' scene with the money changers, that worsened their lives.
Fast forward to the Johnson Administration, and the implementation of the liberal welfare State, American style. As Califano testified to Congress, selling the War on Poverty (lying, Obama style?), it would end American poverty forever.
Instead, it resulted in a never before seen swelling of welfare mothers bearing fatherless sons whose ineluctable destiny was imprisonment, and disenfranchisement, and an explosion in the prison populations.
It resulted in the lib dem political party, which obtains its legitimacy, strength, and power, by delivering unto its governed, the special grants of status, and economic entitlements. It benefits by creating dependency.
Please note that Jesus originated what would become the founding principle of the American polity, civilization, and culture -- "render to Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God, that which is God's".
The emphasis was always on creating individual responsibility, and a nation of responsible individuals.
Contrast that with the Spenserian principles of the current liberal ideology (and other failed ideologies premised on that quaint 19th Century piece of Euro-crap -- the utilitarianism of the "greater good" i.e., the Young Turks, the American Progressives, Nazism, Marxist-Leninism, Maoism, et al).
Consider what this latter approach entails -- reification of categories, and subsuming the individual, his morality, responsibility, and identity.
Again, He would have nothing to do with the lib agenda, given His conservatism of adhering to the fundamentals of insight and vision, and not buying into the massive Judaic ecclesiastic overlay.
