We shouldn't even be posting in this thread or even arguing. The usual suspects who believe that Obama is the worst president since... BUSH... will come here beating their chests and resort to the same label-condemning rhetoric that they've been trumpeting since November. They would lose their preverbal shits if Obama was somehow defeated in 2012. Problem is, there isn't anyone they can suggest that could even beat him... never mind would even want the job. But just like the Birther Debate and the Health Care Debate, it's not like they would have to work with an actual plan of attack. Just always say no, scream bloody murder and scare everyone to death. That'll get the lowest common denominator talking!
That's all I have to say on this thread and I won't be returning to it.

I've read over the clips and posts of the He/She/and Holier Than The Rest of Us It before dismissing her totally. I'm not an Obama worshiper, however, she's never posted anything positive about Obama (at least, since he was elected). She is on the side of those selfish people who do not contribute anything positive (despite Flashy's defense), but only posts "the sky is falling" rants. Her whining is always "it's my way or the highway" and even if there is a soupçon of viable truth to her long-winded rantings, the "Crying Wolf" factor has long ago taken over and now obfuscates anything she might have to say that is worthwhile to post. And the decibel level of her posts are truly annoying. And when she "attempts" to engage others in debate or discussion, she NEVER considers that she might be wrong or that anyone who does not agree with her 100% might also have a valid point of view.

The economy requires whoever is US president to take decisions which will be unpopular. The recovery might have come before the next election, but a lot of Americans will still feel retty sore from the recession - and right or wrong, Obama will get a lot of the blame.
Yes best guess is that Obama will be a one term president. But plenty of time for events to change any prediction.
And we could well have a parallel process in the UK. Cameron may well be next prime minister after the next election - but faced with an economy carrying far too much debt and a need for unpopular measures (which the present government should be taking now). In six years time it is quite possible that the UK will again vote socialist because Cameron will be blamed for high texes, reduced spending and probably the weather as well.

i would like to point out, MLB, my friend, that nowhere did i defend Trinity's views or opinions...i stated that i disagreed with her 90% of the time...what i did was castigate people who disagree so vehemently with Trinity's opinions and views, that they deliberately will ignore a fact and make it her opinion.
I have disagreed with most of the right wing nonsense Trinity believes in...but as i said, she did not post an opinion in the thread where i spoke up...she posted an absolute economic fact, announced by the White House themselves...that they got it wrong and underestimated by nearly 2 trillion dollars the total deficit over the next 10 years...the CBO came out strongly against their numbers back in February...now, it turns out that the CBO were right, and the administration was wrong.
now, you may not agree with what Trinity might then say about why we cannot have healtcare, because of that number, but there is no way to deny the truth of the absolute fact as confirmed by every news outlet around, the the administration was dead wrong on the deficit.
as i have said...i disgaree with most of what she says opinion wise...but that does not mean that when she posts an absolute fact, that fact is less true.

Trinity will take anything as a source authority so long as it agrees with Trinity's predetermined notions. Trinity reads and hears what Trinity wants to read and hear. If things don't go her way, then she changes the facts to suit her opinions.
