honestly tho your gender DOES have a barring
some people might be willing to show things (pic wise) to women that they wouldn't want to show a man

I think I verified on day one because of the fact that I knew nobody would believe I'm a female. I tend to be a little raunchy and I'm very enthusiastic about dicks so guys immediately assume there's no way I could be 1.) female or 2.) intelligent.
I used to do the cam thing in chat till that got obnoxious so plenty of people have seen me to know I'm a female. For some reason it does matter to me. I guess I want to be taken seriously and not dismissed as "a fat bald old man".

it's cool I remember you as a hot chick ; o )

I know thy pain - it too having led me to having to jump identities, close - reopen Gmail accounts, etc. etc. etc. All failed social experiments in that I cannot cure the basic human need to be ABSOLUTELY and irrevocably loathsome to one another for one reason or another. Especially when you strike on insecurities - which can happen in a place JUST LIKE THIS all too frequently and easily. And when a guy makes up his mind to put the HATE on you - best honestly to NOT give them any ammunition. (Why my low-profile profile. Well, nonexistent truthfully)

Guys are very visual critters, and though we can put together in our heads how to fix/place/orient an assembly of parts - we completely lack the imagination to visualize a female. Hence likely the big push to get photos. And of course, the verbal equivalent of a handshake and greeting can mislead one into thinking that you are personally interested in them. Makes for very unevenly yolked emotional attachment - especially if the only contact they have with the outside world IS the computer.

Anyway, just some theories I thought I might share - open to be criticized as always. :D

In that situation the perception my gender has a bearing on someone else's actions. I'm not here to suit other people or shape myself to their needs.

If that's such a big concern to them then they have every right to only show their pics to verified females. What they don't have a right to do is insist we all verify so they can waggle their weiners at us.

*IF* by MB you are speaking of Dolfette? (Excuse my ignorance - still getting used to people) I have the easy answer to that.

No, MB refers to me, ManlyBanisters, see? Clever stuff, eh?

It used to also refer to mecurialbliss but she a. is not on this thread and b. has changed her username to Ethyl.

I got verified because I wanted to look at the gallery photos, and I purposefully uploaded an ugly "I really don't care what anyone thinks" photo of my arm using whatever was handy nearby, a tube of lipstick.

It didn't take long before that first verification photo got comments along the lines of "looks fake" and "that doesn't look 'petite' to me" that actually did bother me enough that I replaced my verification photo with a new one with a soda can to prove my relative size, only to have that photo used against me in the forums and in comments on my profile by men who have chosen to throw insults at me that the soda can is "evidence" that I am seeking soda can sized penises. I'm not sure why that would be an insult, but the men who have written it have obviously intended it to be one.

Ahhhh! That chat room! I can't talk to anyone in there because of all the requests to private! I've been in there 2-3 times and thats it. I even had a guy say to me, "why else would you come on here if not for that?" When I told him I wasn't interested in privately camming with him.

Of course! Why else would anyone go into a chat room except to talk about their penises? Is there anything else on earth worth talking about?

Just block guys like that. They have one track minds and very little imagination. When someone whispers something like that to me, I answer publicly in the forum like this, "I only let friends view my cam. If I do not know you, I will not accept private chat requests." I do the same if someone is being overly pushy after I've politely responded. They usually stop, but one or two men are denser than the rest. Just block those guys.

I have been attacked in the chat room for not talking about sex. A couple of guys ganged up on me because they were angry that I was there and not discussing their penises. One asked, "What else are we supposed to expect?" Well, I expect after you figure out that not all the women are there to talk about your penis, that you will adjust your expectations accordingly, not throw a temper tantrum.

I have never asked anyone for anything. When I was obviously female, and had attractive photos in my gallery, and a verification photo (because Stronzo proclaimed a little too loudly that I was actually another poster and posting from two accounts) I got tons of unsolicited photos in the chatroom. Back then, someone could send you a file, and if you were in the middle of typing and hit enter to send your text at just the wrong moment, you'd automatically download the file, whatever it was, onto your computer, and display it on your screen. I saw so much freaking uncalled for dick I wanted to scream. When my pictures were up, I got lots of PMs asking me stupid questions like, "Am I big enough?" or "Can you take some pictures showing more of your tits, or of your pussy?" and "C2C?" No phrasing of my signature deterred this, or countless requests for me to look at someone's lame-ass cock pictures that probably looked like everyone else's. While I am interested in penises in general, after my initial 6-month gold membership expired, I had no more interest in the individual pricks of strangers.

You know what? No matter how many times I read ManlyBanisters I will never stop reading (and thinking, more importantly) ManlyBarristers. It's probably because I fuck a lot of lawyers or something and they seemingly dominate my social circle

OT do you think that being unverified (especially in the absence of any pics at all) can sometimes create a slightly ambiguous air about you which can be useful in discussions since so many people make presumptions about others and their opinions on very reductive criteria such as appearance, sex, age, ethnicity etc?

What they don't have a right to do is insist we all verify so they can waggle their weiners at us.

I often wonder if LPSG isn't a haven for a large number of men who would otherwise be standing in trainstations wearing macs waiting for unsuspecting school girls to expose themselves to.

Interesting:biggrin1: I did not know I could block someone in there, nor did I know I could only cam with certain people( in the main room or only in private rooms?) I have just always selected no, because I posted pics and stuff on here, I don't want to sit in the chat room to CHAT and have people perving on me the whole time. It gives me the heebee-geebee's. Anything I have posted on my profile feels separated to me. It's not real time, real life. I would have anxiety if I sat there knowing anyone could be watching me, it's just creepy:rolleyes:

Bwahahaha! Have you been conspiring with NotPuny, ManlyB?

You think I need to conspire with anyone?

That can be useful - but I find being mistaken for a white, male American slightly disconcerting.

You have just made me want to log off and never come back. :frown1:

Yeah I'm devoted to the flames for consorting with practitioners of the dark arts.

Bah get mistaken for a hermaphrodite Sinhalese and I'll give ya disconcerting

The thought never occurred to you too? I mean I'm sure they're a minority, and if this keeps them away from tube stations, school gates and bus stops it's probably a good thing really.

Mind you what does it say about me that the thought occurred to me and I never even considered logging out and never returning? I've been spending too much time with lawyers clearly.
