I was and I'm pretty pissed off about it -- IMO, the Justice Department has more important issues to address like crime. I've read that getting cash on deposit out will be a lengthy process, if it happens at all and I'm very unhappy about that since I doubt we'll be able to write it off on our tax returns.
I guess I should be glad I didn't have more cash on deposit at PokerStars. I understand ClubWPT plans to continue operating since they feel their business model allows them to say they are in compliance with UIGEA. I imagine their ranks of paying customers will swell -- to me, there isn't any point in playing for free chips on FT or PS.
This is huge... I say, figure a way to tax it and get on with it. Unfortunately, I'm sure it won't be that easy.
