Hi everyone

I’m still coming to terms with being bi. But one thing I’m finding is that I’m only attracted to masculine guys that you wouldn’t ordinarily guess are gay/bi.

“Straight acting” could be another term.

I find that I’m just not attracted to feminine guys. I actually find that they turn me off in a sexual scenario, to the point of losing a hard on and being kinda repulsed (sorry to all the feminine dudes but I can’t help it lol).

I feel like this is a weird phenomenon so I wanted to see if any other dudes are like me?

Exactly the same

That’s interesting because you’re 100% gay too.

My reasoning is that, if I wanted feminine, I’d just go with a woman.

Does it differ for you in any way?

Why would you think it "weird"? Worship of masculinity is actually fairly common among men who are attracted to other men.

The “weird” part was referring to being kinda repulsed by effeminate gays.

I just really like my big hairy manly men haha

I mean, just spend 20 minutes on Grindr. You'll see a whole lot of "masc4masc" type postings.

Haha Grindr, where the “masc4masc” dudes are literally feminine men trying to get masculine dudes.

Most gay men imo are masculine lol I think too many being dl make it hard for the stereotype to die

Maybe. I don’t like that stereotype.

I’m the last person you’d pick as being gay/bi.
I’m big, tall, deep voice, into gym/sports/cars and all that.
I guess I’m super attracted to “bros” if you know what I mean.

For example, joining the army or navy would be an awesome experience for me ;)

I would never ever advertise "only looking for masc" sort of thing. I keep that preference to myself mostly, and it's a preference like any other -- tall, short, hairy smooth, etc.

Ah yeah. I have stereotypically masculine interests you could say, so I make it clear that I’m only after that.

Not shopping and watching Glee lol

What is it for you @SonyToyo that makes a man give off a fem vibe that turns you off? I'm quite curious about that.

I think even me putting 100% gay on here after being married for so many years (I'm divorced) is a bold statement of honesty.

Mate it’s everything haha I don’t mean to be cruel.

The lisp, the floppy wrists, the generally skinny frame, awful hobbies (musicals are gross) and the annoying/bitchy personality that goes along with it.

I know we’re talking in general terms here, but that’s just my experience.

What I love about masculine men: absolutely everything. The body/facial hairy, deep voice, more muscly, bigger frame generally, that man musk, fun hobbies (sports gym cars etc)
And it tends to be a more equal, straight forward relationship from my brief experiences.

A possibly useful distinction would be the difference in meaning between "feminine" and " effeminate." To me, feminine denotes a natural quality of softness, gentleness, smooth movement, etc... "Effeminate denotes contrived qualities of caricature femininity. While I am not attracted to men that are notably feminine, I am not put off by those qualities in a general sense. My sense is that effeminate men sometimes behave out of hostility and a wish to challenge... No interest here.
My range for what I consider masculine is fairly broad and is not limited to particular body types, hobbies, interests, etc... However, to be with a guy who shares my interest in cars, motorcycles, construction, roots music, and fitness would be awesome. My preferred physical type is lean, medium build-to-slender, not too hairy but long hair is very cool,a well-tended beard can be nice.

Yep we all have a type mate. I just can’t be attracted to feminine/effeminate men. Idk why but it’s not of my own doing haha
