I get that OnlyFans is looking more and more like a fad, but talk about wasted potential as a platform.

I really wish there was a decent search function. Am I missing something? I'd think by now content makers could tag themselves with various terms that we could search by like "muscle worship", "feet", "body modification", etc.

Try onlyfinder or some other third party search engine.

Quite annoying, but strangely onlyfans wants to protect its creators privacy, but realistically you can’t really expose yourself on the internet for a monthly fee and expect that no matter what they do at some point someone you know may well come across your genitals

I sent feedback to them a year ago giving some good features like the search you mentioned, I got an auto response saying they will check the info. I can tell they don't really take suggestions from people

I mentioned this to a product manager at OnlyFans a couple months ago, hopefully they do make it happen :joy:. Seriously, a search feature would secure its journey to a great IPO. They need to focus on longevity (and to be honest, there will always be a need for creator curated porn).

It’s even more frustrating when I know for a fact I have searched for a specific person, know their username, but they still do not show up when searched for

(There’s the option to hide/unhide yourself as a creator..which must be set to hide)

As for the third party search engines they’re often tricky..

Onlyfinder .com is often useless, fansmetrics for some reason only seems to wish to display female content, the best I’ve found is onlyfinder .io

Apparently Reddit is a useful tool but I haven’t personally found it too useful

It’s a shame onlyfans don’t work at making it easier for people to find what they’re after but their loss I guess

I guess I did start this thread to be rather negative, but I hate to be such a downer. At the same time, I can't help but feel OF is like a pump-and-dump idea. I'm reading the content creators get less and less of a cut. It's so bad many use it simply as a way to get people to pay for custom content through other means, or even to solicit gifts from an Amazon wishlist. The cut of tips and subscription revenue through the platform is skimmed to that extent. The fact the platform itself seems stagnant seems to only reinforce this. I hope someone will take the idea to a new level, even if it means OF joins things like Friendster, LiveJournal, etc. in the internet dust bin.

Yeah, it mostly works to search users that you're are or were subscribed ... really useless

Having a search feature with parameters would help people to find profiles that offer what are you looking for, for example daddies, people from your country, an specific fetish you like, that would help a lot to the content creators too, since people can find their profiles when looking for something

Having profiles to show the length of videos on every profile would help a lot too with transparency. A lot of times you subscribe to an OF, only to find out the 1000+ videos they have, are all 30 seconds long

For example Hayden Monteleone has 450+ videos, all of them under the 1 minute mark for $19.95 (normal price), not worth it. At least he gives discounts fairly often, but if people could see the length, we could avoid spending money in something you know it's probably not worth it and PPV, and would give some transparency to users, and make content creators to stop charging full price for a profile that ends up being PPV, since people would identify PPV profiles more easily
