Yea I’ve seen that idea. I wish these threads had like a search mechanic. That way you could search like key words or in this case key people. So if you wanted to subscribe to someone you’d just have to search the thread for their name. It’d get pretty annoying if it was a bunch of people asking if the same peoples onlyfans has the DRM setting. I feel like there’s a correct way we’d have to run it.
Threads do have a search mechanic

I remember when trying to play videos on the OF site would cause my browser to freeze or crash. Even strolling through a creator’s photos would cause trouble back then. This was circa 2019-21. The website was absolute trash just a short time ago. Now it seems we’re returning to that era. As others have said, all we can do is message the creators and politely ask them to turn the DRM feature off. :pensive:

I did contact someone who I had subscribed to, on OF, and told him that I could no longer play his films. I asked if he knew of the DRM and if so did he intend to switch it off. He told me that he did know and he would not switch off so I cancelled my subscription as I couldn't watch his films. I felt he did not regard me as a fan. This is someone very well known who keeps thanking his fans for all the support which is very easy to say, but he showed me he doesn't regard his fans highly. There was no apology or acknowledgement that his decision meant that I had wasted money on him.

Same looks like is happening on JFF which is a shame as I had a list of guys to subscribe to but not doing it if DRM is switched on.

Is there a way of knowing about DRM status prior to subscribing.

Im done also. I canceled mine. Maybe someone may want to start a thread where folks can contribute names of creators using DRM.
That would be great, but to provide that info they would need to be currently subscribed to that/those creator(s)…
I think it is better to just assume all creators will be using DRM, period.

Nope in advance, but as I just posted… assuming they all have DRM on is the best way to go. Just stop ur suscriptions… Fans being appreciated by creators, sorry but meh… we’re merely income to them… with perhaps few exceptions…

Someone needs to make a thread where we can stop reporting who is using DRM and who isnt.

Two things:

- This can be that thread. If you‘re compelled to do so by all means report it here!

- That list of creators who insist on leaving the DRM feature on will not be the most accurate. Turning it on and off is as simple as entering your settings. It wouldn’t be uncommon to have many of these guys turning it On & Off depending on their moods.

Some of us actual enjoy using onlyfans for consuming content so just assuming everyone is using the DRM setting isn’t an actual solution to the problem dude.

I don’t know how many people you’ve subscribed to but I’ve subscribed to over 250. And some of them I’ve subscribed to for multiple months. So just carelessly labeling everyone as having it isn’t as easy as 123. I like subscribing to creators and buying customs from them and making them do things for me. And I’ve actually subscribed to a few recently and they didn’t have it on. So assuming all of them are assholes & use the setting when there are in fact those that don’t use it. And some that have actively removed it for their subscribers isn’t realistic for some of us. As you can see by people wanting to figure out who has it and who doesn’t, there are a lot of us who actually enjoy using the platform outside this ridiculous new setting. So giving out this solution when anyone could’ve thought of that isn’t exactly helpful in the least.

And you’re saying we are income to them as if we don’t benefit as well. It’s suppose to be a service, an equal exchange. They get money we get off. Unless their OF is trash ofc. But no one’s making people subscribe to their OF it’s voluntary. Just had to add that in.

Yea that’s true & that pisses me off more that it’s so easy for them to do that. I wish there was like a massive ass delay for that at least. If they wanna turn it off they have to wait 2 months before turning it back on or something lol. It’s all on their whim now. Deciding whether to make their accounts completely unwatchable or the opposition. Crazy man. I saw someone say that OF needs to charge their asses more money for using the setting making it like a monthly service. Which some major creators would hardly feel truthfully. But yea I just hate that they one day can see one video posted on a thread and be like “you know what I’m turning that setting on I’m tired of this” boom we wasted our money for the month.

While we’re ranting about DRM has anyone been hit with “TAXES“ on content purchased on your main wall? I’ve noticed no such taxes if the content is sent through DMs. But that same PPV will be taxed if the creator publishes it on his feed versus sending it to your inbox.

What kind of fuckery is this?

Even if you've unsubscribed, you can still purchase PPV vids from them. That's why they make the subscription fee always discounted or so low cause they make the most money from PPV/custom videos.

Maybe off the site, but I think You have to resume the subscription to do anything further in the OF DM's.

Yeah, that crap needs to stop. Stat. Aside from this new DRM dilemma, the DM/PPV ripoff is the worst thing about OF. You should pay a fee to get in...and everything should be on the feed. I applaud the creators who actually do it this way.

So with the first message that isn’t true in some cases. Most cases you won’t be able to message them but sometimes when you subscribe to an OF account for the first time you get a little notification that say that they subscribed to your profile. They clearly set it up to be automatic but anyways the purpose of that is so that they can message you and you message them after your subscription ended. So if any of you ever wondered why they do that that’s why. I get PPV messages all the time from people I have subscribed to. I actually have like 19 “fans” from creators doing this. I mute most if not all of them cuz I hate having 5 notifications of people messaging me and it being old people I haven’t subbed to in years try to sell me the same PPV they made 3 years ago.

And the second part of what you say. I agree about 50%. Do I feel like creators should make their OF worth it without PPV absolutely. But it doesn’t bother me if they do have it. And do a PPV vid every so often. Or reserve it for the super special stuff. I feel like some accounts do it well. While others blatantly just scam you and your out of luck.

I understand a free page and all PPV if that is how he wants to operate. What I am not ok with is guys that charge a monthy subscription, post absolutely zero worthwhile content on their main, and then do PPVs. Those are immediate turn off auto renew as soon as join. As far as DRM, I'm just turning off auto renew if he activates and moving on. As said on this thread, yes, OF should mark an account as DRM or DRM-free but they probably wont. They do nothing consumer friendly. They see the creators as their customers, and us, who knows, we are just some mysterious source of money.

There are very few creators I would pay another month to contact, but I did it with one and sent him a very polite message saying the quality is really bad now and I just can't support him this way. I also like downloading videos and having them to watch offline (though I've never uploaded anything anywhere), but I didn't mention that, since creators are rightly suspicious of their stuff being uploaded for free. I sent the same message to a couple of the ones I am currently following, whose videos switched to DRM. One responded that he appreciates my support, but he sees his videos uploaded for free on a lot of places, so he won't be switching it off. Waiting on the other two to respond, but anyone who gives me that answer OR who doesn't respond before my current cycle is up, will be unsubscribed from. I get the reality of wanting to guard your content from piracy, but I'm not interested in paying for poor visual quality videos that I won't be able to keep for private "use" if/once I unsubscribe.

Right now my only two rebills are of guys whose content is STILL not DRM (Poloxxxfans and British Twunk, if anybody is curious).

Does anyone know if there is already an app or software that bypasses DRM protection? as it is a "problem" that is affecting not only gays, but straights as well, I believe they will soon create something for this purpose. we shouldn't just rely on the goodwill of the content creator, who OBVIOUSLY wants only money and what is positive only for them
