I am cynical enough to not dismiss the possibility of it being a fictional account of events, or a retelling. I am not enough of a cynic to say that it is, and in fact tend to think it is factual.
Perhaps I just wish to believe in the best of people.
I do worry for the younger sibling if his older brother leaves the nest for university. Hopefully the father in this story either develops into a caring human being, or the young mam continues to show the strength he had when standing up to his father as displayed here.
