The acting quality is exactly what you can expect of a Bruce LaBruce movie. At least all actors are fluent in English. This wasn't the case in many of his past movies. All in all it's very typical for him. I'm a little surprised about Erika Lust though. I'm not really familiar with her but from reading her tweets and interviews she seems like someone who is both very politically and morally. Here we have a (supposedly) gay man permanently cheating on his boyfriend with women and lying about it. We also have a woman who has a crush on a gay guy and definitely will succeed in seducing him. As a bonus, they even hired an openly and proud gay actor for the male lead role. I understand that her films are made especially for a female audience and I'm sure a lot of women do have fantasies about conquering a gay man. So the female viewership of Lustcinema will probably love it! But for someone who talks so much about minorities it's all very controversial and politically incorrect... Or maybe the trailer is just misleading. But if not, Drew will probably get a lot of backlash for doing straight scenes as well as starring in a movie with such a storyline.
By the way, LaBruce recently described himself as a Kinsey 6 and stated that even though he likes the female form, he does not have sex with women.
