So I'm just wondering, anyone here an opera buff?

I've had very little exposure, buying have really enjoyed what I've heard. Anyone willing to name their favorite pieces, performers, and such. Would really love to hear some good stuff an get someexplanations on why you do or don't like, what you do and don't like. Haha

thanks.

I expected this thread to be about the Opera web browser, the fastest and most secure browser on Windows, with several features built in that you would need an extension to get in Firefox.

These are a few of the divas who I most admire. Now THESE women truly exemplify to me the term "Bel Canto".

Christopher Lee (best known for playing Saruman and Count Dooku) just released an album called Charlemagne: By the Sword and Cross, which, while billed as a symphonic metal album, is really mostly English-language opera-ish music with occasional metal-ish interludes. I'm still in the process of listening to it, but it's pretty damn awesome so far.

I love it.

My favorites are the ones they do in the San Francisco Opera House scene in "Pretty Woman" and the lakeside performance in Bregenz, Austria from "Quantum of Solace." I'm so fucking cultured!
