morticus: I don't need to touch it or even see anything provocative to get an erection. There is never a need for a girl to work me up. Before she even gets my pants unzipped I am already hard. I would really like it if a girl would NEED to work me up but I never need that. To be blunt, A woman doesn't even need to be involved. If I am just sitting there sometimes I get hard. If I walk around naked, I get hard. I've never been, but I know that if I go to a nude beach, well that will be a big problem. I've even poped one in the doctor's office while i'm naked and waiting for a physical. The interesting thing is, I don't feel like I have a strong sex drive at all. I'm 23 years old and I want to know if this type of thing eventually stops and are any other 21-25 year old hetero males the same way?

All opinions or experience by anyone older or younger and especially homo males are disqualified. You have certainly limited your opportunities for help or advice.

First, i noticed you just joined. Welcome to the forum. WE are glad you are here and already posting.

Haven't had this problem at all since..... I was about your age and a little older. Thre will come a time when you or your girlfriend will work and work and work and it still will be as limp as a dishrag. But that should be way off into your future.

This is very very common in the teens and up to age 25. Then it does slack off a little for most guys. It becomes easier to control. But erections for no reason can happen to any guy at any age if he is capable of having an erection. Some erections are not sexual in the least. Needing to pee will cause an erection.

So, no there is nothing wrong with you. You sound like a normal healthy guy in his early twenties. You may need to learn some techniques to keep from coming too soon, but you didn't ask for that information.

Keep posting and get all the info you need. There is plenty of people here who gladly answer anything. You might go back and search for some old threads and get a lot of information you are looking for.

Did I offend you by posting information that might help someone answer my questions or am I misunderstanding your post?

I stated my preferences, which could help tell people my mind's point of view. I stated my age and a range of ages that would closely relate to my own hormone levels. Explain what was wrong with that.

Not offended and welcome aboard by the way. I was just trying to point out that there are a lot of men here who might have experiences, knowledge and advice which might be helpful to you. Regardless of their age, they might remember and offer assistance.

Hey man, no need to worry. It's better than not being able to get it up, right? I had that problem a couple months ago, but now that I stopped smoking and have lost some weight it's gone away.

Anyway, here's my take on the situation. I'm 22 and used to have the same thing happen. I'd be talking to a girl that I liked and if she played with her hair, smiled and laughed at what I was saying, etc, I would start to get hard. She wouldn't even have to touch me, hahaha. I know what you mean, it's really embarassing to have a girl be like "Oh, you're so funny (twirls hair)......umm......why do you have that odd look on your face Nate.....(looks down) oh my, I gotta go". What worked for me is not concentrating on the fact that you have a hard-on and just trying to forget about it. The more I focused the worse it got. Other than that, try and live with what's going on. It's a pretty natural thing man, and really nothing to be ashamed of.

I remember going into a doctors office when I was sixteen or so and have a female doctor (who was like fifty and very unattractive) give me the old "I'm going to cup your balls and you need to cough" test. I got a raging hard-on because that was the first time that I was past puberty and a woman had touched me like that. I laughed and was like "Jesus, I'm so sorry" and in a business like manner she was like "it happens all the time, don't worry".

While I'm not in your requested age range, nor am I hetro, I do remember having unwanted erections all the way into my 40's. Always at the most inopportune times. There's nothing you can do to avoid them, so just enjoy them while you can.

I'm 66  and still get hard without much physical or visual stimulation. I have a raging, all-night hard-on most nights as I sleep. Sometimes it's annoying, when I turn over and "stab" my stomach, but it helps me feel that I'm still young. (The rest of me isn't all that bad, either.) So, don't knock "inconvenient" erections. They could mean that you'll be like me when you're my age. And I wouldn't change it for the world!
