Oprah tries harder than most to live by her principles. You may find her show tedious, but it's hard not to admire her works. I certainly do.

I don't enjoy her show, I don't like her taste in books, I don't like her as an actress, I don't much care for her personality, I don't much care for some of the corny publicity stunts she has pulled, and I thought the whole made-up book scandal was pretty stupid and didn't understand why anyone gave a crap.... but all of that is tied to Oprah as a performer and entertainer. I have no opinion of her as a person or philanthropist. Other than she probably has too much money.
