One of my fave things to do is go to flea markets and street fairs here in NYC. Not just any street fair (most of them here suck) but the kind they have at Stuy Town and over at the complex in Chelsea (where Debbie Harry lives). I'd like to have a block long flea market where all the people who live on the block bring their wares down to the street and sell them. Problem is I haven't the faintest idea (yet) about licenses etc.
Has anyone done this yet?

This might be a start for you.....from NYC.GOV website:

Street Fair Permit Application - Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management

Good luck selling anything these days though. Money is tight.
2 years ago i looked into selling off my album collection{about 5-6 thousand items, most dating prior to 75'} I was offered 10 cents apiece for them in bulk! I will burn them as a fuel source before selling them for that!
Good luck.
