Something else rather ironic to report.
Celebrations are loud and roaring in Washington DC. In New York, not as much.
So many pieces to put together here.

There certainly are. Too many to really "celebrate". A countries mood and sense of self is a huge factor in how it proceeds. For me that was the saddest part of the JFK, MLK, RFK assasinations...they quelled a spirit and clamped down on the organic advancement to a new awareness that would have made the past 40 years very different. This event, is for the moment, something that has made people feel positive again, whether it be through closure, pride or even a sense of revenge. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out now. It will definitely be milked for all the political and patriotic clout it can provide. There are many sides to this event that have yet to come out that will further shade and shape perceptions. There will, also, most probably be some form of retaliation somewhere, now that Bin Laden is a martyr. Then again, there would most likely be an attack somewhere, sometime regardless if he was alive or not. We shall see.

Hey Bush........MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.............dumbass

Ah yessss, who could forget? :grinning-smiley-003

Bonus.

8 years to the day...:biggrin1:

"Mission Accomplished" refers to a banner titled "Mission Accomplished" that was displayed on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln during a televised address by United States President George W. Bush on May 1, 2003 and the controversy that followed.

I would send Osama's body around the country - like the Titanic artifacts exhibits. Folks could view his body for say $50 a look or piss on him for say $75. The problem, of course, would be the inevitable decomposition of the body. His beard could bring a ton of cash at Sotheby's. The profits from this venture would be used to reduce our deficit caused by the war, etc. His cock could be surgically removed and pickled. Imagine having that item on your desk next to a letter of authenticity. Who could really afford such a prize?

Actually the problem with such a scenario would be our citizens looking just as savage and disgusting as the people who committed the crimes of 9/11, thereby solidifying a lot of the negative attitudes many people have of the United States worldwide, and putting to a screeching halt any and all attempts to mend the tarnished reputation our nation obtained that the current administration has been trying to fix. Never mind the next generation of terrorists that would be bred just for the sole purpose of retaliation for such a vile act.

That is, of course, if you meant this as a joke and we should just laugh... I suppose.

I hate to piss on everyone's parade, but until I see for myself a "REAL VIDEO" of this cave-dweller being assasssinated will I be convinced he was "Just Killed"! I am not saying he wasn't killed, I am just saying that it didn't just happen! For Christ sakes this guy was on dialysis and lived in a cave! Who hard could it have been to find him?

What would get me up on my feet and start to cheer would be next see Cheney aka "Dr. Evil" and Bush the "Baboon Boy" on trial for "War Crimes!" Say whatever the fck you want you gullible bitches, BUT, I am sorry I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT AN OLD MAN ON DIALYSIS LIVING IN A CAVE ACTED ALONE OR WITHOUT THE ASSISTANCE OF OUR GOVERNMENT! Sadly, so many innocent people have and will continue to die so that Cheney (Haliburton) and the Bushes (Oil) get richer and richer! - To name a few out of many! If I remember correctly, wasn't the same type of "magic trick" done by our government to proceed with the Vietnam War? AHEM the JFK assassination?

What irks me the most is that all those families who lost someone on 9/11 are losing them all over again! It saddens me to see "this government" exploit" it's own citizen again just to further their own CORRUPT AGENDA! YEAH BIN LADEN's DEAD! BOO - THE WORST IS YET TO COME! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!! WAKE TFU!!!!!!

Wow, this must be conspiracy theorist's month, PROOF, PROOF, PROOF. I wish that they would apply the same burden of proof that they require of others upon themselves. However, I do think some sort of proof would be appropriate in this case, but I don't think that the gov't is trying to dupe me.

That being said, I think this is a symbolic victory, while not exactly making the world a safer place in general, justice has been served.

Strangely, CNN is reporting that his body has already been "buried at sea".

I'm really not understanding that. They had 24hrs according to the Q'uran, as I am told.

It makes sense.
This way his burial site is "unknown" and it can't become a shrine.

It's not even a question just about "believing". Regardless of the report, if you're so terrified of the idea of a terrorist coming to cause harm to our shores even a picture of a dead Osama Bin Laden wouldn't put you at ease. That's because we all know that regardless of his death, that is not going to be the end of terrorism. At some point you have to at least put an ounce of trust in the hands of those who have the power to reduce or prevent these problems from happening. I can't say for certain whether or not Obama has the ability to prevent every and all international terrorist attackers from coming after us. But the current administration has done a relatively decent job up to this point so it should make things a bit easier to deal with.

:eek222: Oh wow. That can be no accident.

As for those of you exorcising your desecration fantasies, it's being reported that bin Laden's body was handled according to Muslim tradition and buried at sea. It's not only the civil thing to do, it's politically smart. It shows us to be better than our enemies and leaves nowhere to create a burial shrine for the 'martyred' terrorist.

Osama was like 6'5". I wonder how big his dick was. I'm betting the man was sporting an 8 incher, partially hidden under an enormous mane of pubes.
