Would he be allowed to grow his hair long? Or would it be up to his bosses to maintain his role? I don't know how this works with TV actors.

From other soaps such as EastEnders they have to ask before they do something drastic with their hair, if he wants to grow it I would imagine he has to ask them.

I would say no due to continuity. I remember an interview with another soap star and they would film a scene and on the same day they could film another scene but it might not be showed for another couple of weeks. Also they said, they don't know the storylines sometimes because the way they filmed it is not in the order we watch it. When the guy from Hollyoaks went on I'm a celeb he said he had his hair cut twice a week which I guess makes sense.

Not wanting to look cute is the exact reason he has this haircut. He's explained it several times

We aren't going to see his hair longer than this until his stint on Hollyoaks has ended unfortunately, unless the writers/directors/producers (I don't know who would have control over that) choose to do something different.

Which is why I'm betting on him being the 'bottom' as per UK soap rules lol
