great discussion. I dont think many men have the opportunity to express how gym lockers can make them feel insecure, ashamed etc. Depending on your culture nudity can be taboo or something to be avoided entirely.
When i started going to gym i never thought about showering/changing there. As a man who's attracted to men it actually felt a bit intrusive. I felt out of place and scared someone will judge me/my intentions.
Fast forward 2 years of consistent training, ive gotten more accustom to my body and more confident in my looks. I started showering after gym which is 100% better than getting into my car sweaty and then heading home to hop in the shower, which also adds more time to the entire 'gym session'
I thought about doing the awkward towel dance etc but got fed and even more anxious about that thought. As someone said, its a lockerroom, you shouldnt be surprised seeing nudity as people are going about their business. As a brown guy, i noticed that alot of the brown guys would try their best to cover up. I didnt want to fall into that trap, i appreciated that many british folk felt comfortable enough in their own skin to strip and walk uncovered to the showers and take their time to dry off afterwards.
Since ive started, ive noticed its mainly other brown guys that give me questionable glances as when im fully naked. I chuck it up to their own insecurities? i proud of my body and my cock is pretty decent too, dont think alot of guys expect to see something this size between my legs lol.
End of the day, im there to workout and feel clean and ready for work afterwards, we're all men and some guys need to get over themselves lol.
im a young guy too, and feel like most younger guys have started to shy away from lockerroom nudity. Hopefully changing the trend can help men feel more confident in their bodies
