If we think of a penis it can be divided in to to three parts: Glans, shaft, root (both hidden and internat)

I am 42 years old and last six months to a year I have been experiencing general soreness and weak erections, mostly radiating from what I would say the lower third part of the penis.

During this year I have been somewhat stressed out over life in general, something that compromises qualities of sexual interes and erections, I have also been masturbating somewhat excessively, even though feeling sore, to cope with stress.

I´m gueesing the general answer to any penis pains is trying to find the inner peace to give 10 days of rest to let the body heal.

But has anyone else experiencing this?

Have you had a regular physical during that time? It is possible it’s just stress on the tissues; but you should be evaluated for hernia and possibly have a PSA screen.

Also, does the pain radiate? Is it persistent? Do you have any numbness? Have you noticed any other abdominal pain?

The shaft of the penis is innervated by the deep perineal nerve, any pressure on that nerve would produce pain. Soreness generally won’t reduce the strength of erections; erections are parasympathetic and are much more influenced by blood pressure than mechanical stimuli.

It´s mostly common when trying to masturbate, a bit numb during the day, but nothing excruciating, one thing lifestyle oriented is possibly related that I´ve been riding my bicycle quite a lot last months.

You might have inflamed the fascia surrounding the area. I’d refrain from sexual activity for a week and see if it resolves itself. Don’t stop riding your bike; but finding a more ergonomic seat than stock will help you in the long run.

Good on you for healthy habits! As you progress to your 50’s, there will be generalized weakening of your muscles, including the sorts that keep everything contained, so be deliberate in your exercise. Stay active but listen to your body.

And that stress? Go for some brisk walks, get your heart rate up, appreciate the things around you. Reminding yourself that you’re a vital, capable person can do wonders for the mind.

And go for a checkup. I know it’s a chore; but you need to do it at least yearly. If you’re insured, it’s completely free. And an examination will tell a physician much more than you can explain here.

Good luck!

Cycling can cause prostate pain. The old hard saddles were the culprit. Too much body weight rests on what you call the root of the penis which is the perineum. I recommend getting a split saddle. It will have a gap or a deep indentation down the center. Less of your weight will be on your perineum and more on your sits bones.

.Helped me tremendously. Here's a sample I found when I Googled split bike saddle.

BTW women may also suffer pelvic floor pain from cycling which may be relieved by using a split saddle.

Funny thing cycling--sitting right on our sex!

I'm glad you had a clean urology evaluation last year, but it's a year later at this time. CALL YOUR DOCTOR! From what you are describing, my money is on prostate enlargement/infection. Jerking off can either give you relief or make it worse. Please, have a real person check it out, eliminate the guessing, and get on the road to a normal recovery. Deep pelvic pain is NOT normal.

Could be prostatitis? You should definitely go and get things checked out. Even with excessive masturbation, I'd guess it would be the bit of the penis you rub is likely to get sore.
Could be your saddle on your bike causing trouble as you are essentially sitting on the hidden part of your penis behind your balls to cause numbness, in normal activity, you wouldn't sit on your penis but you do with a saddle.
