Given the sexist attitude the media puts forth about women and clothes, the fact that it's all about fashion and how much you spend, could anybody venture a guess how much Obamas drag cost?
My guess is about $5500.00 per outfit. Suit, shirt, tie and shoes included.

"Given the sexist media talking about fashion instead of issues, I thought I'd join them! Ya think he's ever had a $400 haircut?"

Bet it's not a $4.00 fade at the ebony barbershop either!

You understood that she was wearing a $2500.00 blouse from Saks(because the media told you) but, the fact that he's wearing $6000.00 worth of clothes went right over your head. Ya think he got those at S&K.

You could have responded to the discussion of the Republican vice-presidential candidate by discussing either the other Republican, or the other vice-presidential nominee, either of which would be parallel to Sarah Palin, but instead you went for Obama.

So, why specifically Obama's apparel? Are you wishing to discuss clothing and fashion, or are you making the non-parallel leap for some other reason?

Because his clothes are the nicest and prove my point further!
Because I am talking Palin I must cross reference Biden?

It is not common here for a woman who is not Eskimo to wear a Kuspuq. The grocery store pic was probably posed.

Her husband is 1/8, her kids 1/16, just enough to get free healthcare.

Funny you mention this... I remarked to my wife the other day how nice the suit was that Barack was wearing. The guy can dress....

Oooh, I'd say you're mistaken on that point. Have you seen McCain's shoes? I don't know for comparison how much Obama's shoes cost, but he owns four pairs of shoes, and one pair is due to be replaced.

I might be mistaken about the shoes but not the suit! If he pairs up those crappy shoes with a great suit it proves he's not ready for office! LOL
As far as McCain goes---Ferragamo--eww! Boring
Hell I am a regular joe and ferragamos are a little low end.
Seems like they both need some help.
Style police cabinet post----I like the idea!

I would have guessed either candidate were wearing John Lobb or better.
Ferragamos that look like they should be $79.99 at TJ Maxx on McCains feet show a serious lack of judgement on Cindy or Johns part.
Not wearing Lobb or better show the same for Obama.
Originally I was pointing out how different the Media treats men and women when it comes to money and fashion. They try to make it look like all women care about is SHOPPING and SPENDING, stereotyping them as 1950's style stay at home June Cleavers.Airhead fashionbots without a brain for politics.

Here's where you are way off...

Obama and McCain can wear the same 5 or 6 suits for years.

Cindy and Sarah will wear a new outfit everytime they step in front of the cameras.
Women in the public eye spend VASTLY more on clothing than men.

And, seriously... candidates are on TV...

This stupid shit about their pricey clothes and haircuts?

What the fuck do you think would happen if they walked out in off the rack ill fitting shit that made them look bad?

They would get pilloried for it.

When you want the American people to vote for you... a $400 haircut is the bare minimum of what you need to make it.

They are playing to an audience... and the shaprer they look, the better they poll.

So its YOUR fault, America. For being so vapid and image/brand oriented.
Get over it.

That's amazing! You got the point and missed the point all at the same time. How'd you do that?

dang you got me again with that stealth satire thing!

You gotta give fair warning... satire is usually recognizable by the tone or the outrageousness...

But There is nothing so outrageous that it can't sound like a real republican opinion...

I should become a makeup artist!

Cele|bitchy Blog Archive Sarah Palin’s makeup artist made $22,800 in 2 weeks, was top paid McCain staffer

"It turns out that the campaign costs for Palin’s makeover didn’t end with shopping sprees at Saks and Neiman Marcus. Her makeup artist costs $22,800 for just the first two weeks of October and was the highest paid McCain staffer during that time. She wasn’t just an average makeup artist, and was nominated for an Emmy for her work on the reality show “So You Think You Can Dance.” What’s more is that Palin’s hairdresser was paid $10,000 for that same time period."
