Here's what possible Presidential candidate, former half term governor Sarah Palin, had to say about the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere while visiting Old North Church in Boston Massachusetts:

"...he who warned, uh, the...the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms(Pandering to the NRA with a reference to the second amendment which didn't exist yet)...uh, by ringin’ those bells and um(Paul Revere didn't ring bells)...makin’ sure as he’s ridin’ his horse through town...to send those warning shots and bells(Paul Revere didn't fire any shots, he lit a lantern)...that, uh, we were gonna be secure and...and we were gonna be free...and we were gonna be armed."

    Blue emphasis added by me.

Do you want this woman to have the Nuclear launch Codes?

Here's the vid and a priceless look on the newscasters face:

I don't know what to say. Don't they teach this in the third grade when they introduce history to school children? I still can't believe she is this dumb but her actions and words speak for themselves. Thanks for the Blue Editorial... it made me smile.

It's absolutely astounding how we have so many people in America that are so blinded by their hate and fear of government that they'd rally around someone who is so inherently wrong about literally everything she says. Whether it be our own History or on the majority of political matters.. she's just wrong.

Thanks, Industrialsize. Without even viewing the coverage, I can imagine the flag-waving, cheering throng around her. Luckily, we won't have to worry about her having the nuclear launch codes.

Americans love a redemption story, but they hate quitters. I have two Palinites(?) Sarahpporters(?) in my neighborhood who love to regale me with imagined tales of their precious Sarah becoming President. I always make sure I remind them that they're talking about someone who has already quit one major political office and in doing so, turned her back on supporters, constituents, and responsibility. It usually shuts them up and we turn our talk to the people who moved in on the corner or the problems with lawn fungus this year.

Not to put too fine a point on it, Indy, but Revere didn't actually light the lanterns. Two other men did, while a third kept watch. Paul's job was to receive the signal and then warn of the British's route. I'm sure, growing up in Boston, I was taught this but I'm only sure of it because I had occasion to be in the Old North Church last month.

Your point still holds. Palin rewrites anything and everything, history and the Constitution included, to suit her purpose(s). And she's invariably misinformed and as dumb as a box of hair.

Genuflects at the altar of Nickage. And thanks for the "box of hair". Gave me a fabulous laugh.

As to the clip of Palin-age spouting her stuff: simply breathtaking. The ignorance displayed. The nonchalant hubris, despite the ignorance. The fact that this person is a revered political icon. Major "wow".

It's hardly surprising. We've had another Tea Party darling give a speech about how the founding fathers worked tirelessly until slavery was abolished.

I lament that she is missing her true vocation in MILF porn.
