Palin: "What does a VP do?"

Just another blatant example of the 'grading on the curve' Palin is getting. If Biden had at ANY point said he didn't know what a VP does OH MY GAWD the blowback would have caused him to withdraw. And all the right wing pundits and Faux News would have been in rapture.

I think she asked a great question.....What does a VP do?

Besides being the 1st person in the presidential line of succession, becoming the new President of the United States upon the death, resignation, or removal of the president, the only duty defined by the US Constitution is for the VP to act as presiding officer of the Senate. In other words being a 'tie' breaker.

The President further defines any and all other rolls as he/she sees fit.

So I don't think it was a bad question.

Your perspective is SO Pre-Cheney. In reality Cheney has been more co-president than vice-president.

Dick Cheney is the most influential and powerful man ever to hold the office of vice president. This special report examines Cheney's largely hidden and little-understood role in crafting policies for the War on Terror, the economy and the environment.

It wasn't a question Mr. Intellectual. Palin stated it herself and was not asked what the Vice President does.

You sicken me.

I think on Monday I'll go apply for a job as a Quantum Physicist. I'm not really sure what the job involves but maybe someone will get desperate and hire me.

Maybe your job search will turn out a lucrative as Sen. Obama's, since obviously there is a 'No Experience Necessary' clause when running for President.

Just another repost of a vid that's been linked to by sargon20 dozens of times already. Not that he'd point that out, of course, and perhaps he'll soon be taking credit for Lawrence Kudlow's work as well.

.. and after watching Bush for 8 yrs, apparently brains aren't a requirement either (enter Palin).

I really wonder how much 'brains' he has or is it just adherence to a philosophy damn the evidence.

=( I only get to hang out here once or twice a week. Sorry I didn't research my discovery better. Its still something to behold though.

VeeP... you made your point with Sargon20. Can we move along? Its not like Trinity always includes the name of the people she quotes. Are you proposing that if we're going to quote something, that we link to the author?

Let's stop shooting spitballs! =)

No, it's not about that. I'm proposing that members not blatantly take credit for something that isn't theirs.

I've never witnessed another member mistaking something Trinity posted as her own and her taking credit for it, as I did with sargon20. That's the difference here.

The truly compassionate "family values" types among the GOP will massively vote for Governer Sarah Palin to be Vice President...

if ONLY to allow her to spend MORE time with her family! :biggrin1:

Yeah, kinda like that or like when Sen. Obama claims he never heard his Pastor preach hate over a 20 year period.

Be smart.. they've got 30 seconds of sound over a 20 yr period. Obama wasn't there and no one can place him there. No, your example is not the same.

However, Hillary landing under sniper fire in Bosnia would be a close second.

You should actually go back to the thread in question. Clarification was given and as expected well you can read it for yourself. It was my error actually spending time debating the obvious.

Yeah, man, I well aware she's got your back now and I'm not surprised in the least considering you're 'on the same side'. Genuineness doesn't take 'sides', however. I've made my argument; others can judge for themselves.
