BIGBOYDAVE: Is it just me or is the USA getting totally Paranoid
With buisness like Home Depo and others setting up special Homeland Security sections and people flocking to these stores and stocking up on items like plastic and tape, batteries, radios etc. Also its mostly all that is talked about in the Media lately. I'm sure its good for buisness But I feel Like we are getting carried away
and getting terrorized by our governments???
    Comments etc.

The latest snippet I heard from CNN said that people can't really survive too well in duct-taped rooms lined with sheets for lack of oxygen and circulation.

You're right. I think the war effort's pretty senseless and that too much focus is going away from people we need to help, including those in our own country. So the more foolishness I hear concerning code Oranges, the faster I change the channel.

I really believe that paranoia is growing in our culture. Everywhere I look there are paranoids ... all around me. Sometimes it feels as if they're after me ... out to get me!

It's just the governments way of 'hitting it home' so to speak. It's their way of making the 'terror' a presence in society.

It's also funny that when the US tell their people to stack up on supplies, and the UK send the army to their biggest airport due to a 'security risk'. Coincidence?

7x6andchg: Paranoid? Nope. Trying to save money, yep!

The only reason I have sheets of plastic on MY windows is because it's the middle of freakin' winter and it gets COLD up here in Wisconsin. With heating oil and natural gas being quite expensive, it's fiscally responsible of me to put such things on my windows. Code orange or no code orange.

    Hi today: 24 F Low tonight: 6 F....and that's a bit of a warming trend - earlier this week the low was -11 F.

kyle: I'm looking forward to Code Chartreuse. I'll throw a fabulous party and anyone not wearing the color gets stripped and painted!

It'll be waaaaaaaay better than Code Fushia.

Finedessert: ORCA: What you don't have Rainbow Flags in England ? In case you didn't know the Rainbow Flag is the symbol of the Gay Movement here in the USA.

Barney Frank is a openly Gay Member of Congress, who was once referred to as Barney Fag by another member on the floor of Congress, but being the man he is responed by saying " My Mother was never known as Mrs. Fag.

There was a political cartoon on a while back where George 'dubya' Bush was deciding what to do with Iraq. He got his crayons and a map out and renamed Iraq the 51st State - Iraqville!

I thought it was worth a mention :D
