I just recently read somewhere, that some parents use circumcision as a way to differentiate between there twin boys. What if parents have triplets?

Do you think any parents actually do this?

    Any stories? Pictures? Etc?

How would you explain this to the boys as they get older?
Why one is cut and one is uncut?

I'm not interested in starting another debate forum on the general topic of circumcision, I'm only interested in this specific aspect in this thread as there are many other threads regarding circumcision in general pro con on this board.

Well as the father of twin sons....this DID come up...
as a joke...for about....15 seconds between my wife and I...

buy realistically think about it...how OFTEN do you see both of them nude? (okay bathing etc...) but to have to disrobe a baby/child to see? not worth it

Familly tradition to not cut in my familly (my dad, grandpop, brother, nephew, sons and grandson)

and yes they did do the 'swap' game, but what they didn't realize until teens was one has a tiny mole on his lower back (above the butt), so if we could get a shirt-tail out...

unless they are identical twins it isn't hard to tell them apart. even with identical twins their are ways to know one from the other. it would be stupid to not do both. that would be like saying you cared more for one son than the other. i say either should do both or not do both. haven't seen or read anything about this, but some people probably have done this tho. the way some people are now days, an the world we live in .. its possible its been done for this reason only. i do know one of my friends twin boys wasn't circ. when born an the other was circ. but it was because at the time her Dr.told her he didn't have enough their to cir. but her son latter had to be when he was 18 i think not sure why. but she was asking me questions an it came up that he had to be. her other son ask her why he was different than his brother i guess, when he was much younger, she explained to him and all was well apparently after words she said.

That sounds pretty ridiculous. If they circ one identical twin and leave the other intact, with their clothes on, the only way you could tell these twins apart reliably would be from the cock stink.

Now, for all those parents afraid they will mix up their twins when they are young and end up giving calling them by a mistaken identity all their lives I'm sure they have thought about this. But seriously, there are other ways, like giving one a buzz cut until you can distinguish between the personalities.

As a twin...and as the friend of numerous sets of twins, I have never, ever heard of this actually happening.

That has to be an urban legend! :yikes: What would the point of that be anyway? You'd have to undress them to identify them. I have heard of parents using a Sharpie to initial or mark the hand or sole of the foot on identical twins whether they are female or male.

I say this is bullshit. You could easily pierce an ear of one of the twins. End of dilemma.
