That tutu (and the rest of it) are custom tailored designs she had made for the US open, so it would've all had to have been in motion well before the ITF announced there would be a new dress code for the 2019 French Open, so her outfit itself can't really be a response to the French Open rules change (because her plans pre-dated any announcement about the rules change).

There's a lot of people sticking words in her mouth on this topic :/

That was a double-standard, but they've said it shouldn't have happened and have added further clarification to the policy to keep it from happening moving forward.

Of course. To the stupid advertisers (which is where we all know that money flows from) no one wants to watch women's sports unless they're visibly jiggling and sexually appealing. Mini skirt is the only option, they can't not have the "panty shots".. what will people focus on? The actual technique and talent of the athletes competing? Nah..

This is clearly the bottom line for advertisers. Volleyball is also guilty of very different attire for men vs. women...not sure why this isn't changed.
