Watching rhe Barbara Walters special Patrick Swayze Last Dance. It's sad knowing what has transpired but his strength really held him strong in his fight. And his beautiful wife of 3 decades!

It's sad of course for his wife and family but I can only think it was a blessed release for him not to have to suffer any more.

RIP Pat.

One thing I did not know about him until just now was that, growing up in Houston in the late 1960s, he played high school football but also quite openly and proudly studied ballet. I think I can safely say that took some balls.

I cannot forgive *Ghost* for blowing all to hell the film's internal logic, by which we should have seen Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg making out at the end. However, I thought Swayze and Matt Dillon were the two guys who really stood out in *The Outsiders,* and that in *Red Dawn* and espeically *Dirty Dancing,* his performances and the movies themselves were better and more serious than critics gave them credit for.
