anymore content? I never knew he was gay! I've watched him during the olympic trials in the past and always thought he was so hot

He came out publicly after he stopped competing but apparently he was pretty open about it with his family and friends. He had a boyfriend that he married in 2018 or 2019 but they split after only a few months of marriage. I just checked for his Instagram page but he seems to have deleted it. Haven't checked if his Only Fans page is still up.

I'm curious as to why his marriage didn't even last a year.
It's sad that it ended so quickly; he looked happy in his now-deleted Instagram photos with Luis. (But that's social media for you, I suppose. People only showcase the good, not the bad, and never the ugly.)

My guess is quarantine had a lot to do with their marriage failing.

Couples who use their time apart to find relief from the relationship were probably unprepared for the extended confinement many of us were asked/required to do during the height of the pandemic.

He did an interview last year where he talked about his life pre and post pandemic. While he doesn't come right out and say it, it sounds like his husband was a very controlling individual and the pandemic may have played a part in making him leave his husband and New York.

This is me: Paul Ruggeri on gymnastics, Team USA & being gay

Thanks for the link. Whether or not Luis was indeed controlling, I'm glad he's out of the whole thing now.

I recall listening to a podcast where he was interviewed about this article. He said since he was so programmed to do whatever he was told to do as an athlete that it carried over into his personal life. He seems like he's in a better place now.
