I just discovered that those little things in the glands are called Pearly Penile Papules... saw it in a picture became curious and went to research.

And because they are more common in uncut penises i had to find out ...of course.

    History:
    • Most patients with pearly penile papules seek dermatologic consultation because they are concerned about a sexually transmitted disease.
    • Pearly penile papules most commonly are confused with condyloma acuminatum (genital warts) or less often, with molluscum contagiosum.
    Physical:
    • On physical examination, pearly penile papules appear as one or several rows of small, flesh-colored, smooth, dome-topped to filiform papules situated circumferentially around the corona or sulcus of the glans penis (Image 1). Uncommonly, lesions may extend onto the glans penis.
    • Lesions typically are asymptomatic and persist throughout life; however, they gradually may become less noticeable with increased age.
    Causes:
    • Some evidence suggests that pearly penile papules may be observed more frequently in uncircumcised men (22%) than in circumcised men (12%).
    • In the past, pearly penile papules were believed to contribute to the accumulation of smegma in uncircumcised men; currently however, this is known to be not true.
    Medical Care:
    • Lesions typically are asymptomatic and require no therapy.
    Surgical Care:
    • Some patients may request therapy to alleviate anxiety.
    • Ablation using carbon dioxide laser, electrodesiccation with curettage, and excisional surgery reportedly have successfully eliminated lesions.
    • Mixed results have been noted with cryotherapy.
    • Topical application of podophyllin largely has been ineffective.
    Consultations:
    • Dermatologist: Consultation may prove useful when the diagnosis is not obvious.
Activity: Pearly penile papules are not associated with personal hygiene or sexual activity.

    Prognosis:
    • Pearly penile papules typically are asymptomatic and persist throughout life, although lesions gradually may become less noticeable with advancing age.
    Patient Education:
    • Educate patients about the benign nature of the lesions.
    • Inform patients that lesions are not transmitted through sexual activity.
    • Consider counseling for the patient's sexual partner, which often helps alleviate anxiety.

What an extraordinary article! Why the hell does he call them "lesions", which my Oxford dictionary defines as "damage, injury; a hurt or flaw" and "Any morbid change in the exercise or functions or the texture of organs"?

PPPs (also known as papilla coronis) are as normal as freckles, they cause no harm and they don't need to be removed. They only thing worth noticing about them is that, like freckles, not everybody has them. This guy obviously doesn't, otherwise he wouldn't write such pathologising bosh. Here's a better picture: http://www.circumstitions.com/Images/Glossary/papilla.jpg

I have a row of them but they don't seem to be any more sensitive than the rest of the corona.
They are harder than the surrounding skin so I think that they must give extra stimulation to the vagina.
When my glans become blood engorged they aren't so white and pearly and almost disappear.
I've seen a few porn stars with them - John Holmes and French porn star - Titof

They definitely made masturbation uncomfortable sometimes - seemingly, the harder your snake got.

I had them early on in mid teens, but must have fucked them all off, later on. I never knew what the hell they were, but since I wasn't getting any real action then, I didn't care. I should also say that my doctors never mentioned concern for them.

For the time I had them, I thought they were genital warts, and they worried me. All gone now, but thought they'd never leave.

Thanks, Gisella. This really helped me.

Also, PPPs/papilla are more likely to show on uncut guys. They are often extra-sensitive, but, being on the glans, they will be associated with pain rather than pleasure.

(Like your avatar, Dongalong: I have an animated gif of which that is one frame. It's very funny and I'd upload it as mine, but it contains nudity which is a big nono.)

Circumsicion isn't as popular here as it is in the US so for me being uncut is more usual, I think that it is the cut guys that are rare in Europe.

I was often afraid of the reactions of women after seeing PPPs for the first time but most seem to accept them as normal, I did my research too, to be able to explain what they are just in case.
1 in 3 guys have them so women who have had more than a few sexual partners are likely to see them at some point.

Yipee yipee yah yah yay yay!

I just checked my row of them to see Matthew: I would say definitely more pleasurable than the smooth area of the glans... right up there in sensitivity with the frenulum! I wonder if this is why I frequently like to jack using just the glans? Can appreciate how they would make fucking more pleasurable!

    Oi Gisela..

I do have them, and thanks for your help, now I feel like knowing what to say when people ask me about it....

For me gives a hell of pleasure when someone touch them, I am very sensitive there, I do think it makes the head MUCH more sensite.

and I am not a sensitive person at all, sometimes I feel very unfortunate, because I do not feel pleasure in anywhere else... so, thanks to my ppp, I can feel some pleasure...
    LOL
