"Add inches to your penis!” Ads like these are everywhere…on the net, in your email inboxes, in men’s magazines, on the radio, and even on TV, you’ve no doubt seen countless ads for penis enlargement.

There’s programs, pills, devices, surgery, hypnosis, and the list goes on and on. Why are more and more men looking to increase the size of their penises and improve their lovemaking techniques? Simply put, people have taken a more liberated attitude towards sex.

I see similarities with the weightloss industry. The difference is that weightloss is more openly talked about and can be sold as a health issue. So, as PE starts to be sold as a "quality of life" issue, that is the vehicle it needs to take off.

If you notice, you could almost just change the word of the subject and the selling of the products look the same. Pills, surgery, equipment/devices, hypnosis, are all used for weightloss.

You have an interesting point there.

I think the "taboo" about PE is slowly being worn away. PE devices are now sold in many parts of Europe with medical backing and even through insurance.

Part of the silence also has to do with the perceived embarrassment of PE/male enhancement. In my opinion, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Many men starting PE are actually average in size or larger, and some are looking more towards stamina and erectile improvement than just size.

The idea is to go from "good" to "better" :)

I think PE may go in the way porn is sold. Everyone knows about it. Everyone knows how to get. But no one out right admits it. Heck, a 12 billion dollar a year industry is getting its money from somewhere. It cant be from just the same 100 "perverts" out there.

To add to what you are saying Al, it think the stigma of PE is almost the same as buying a sex manual, or book. The implication that you are no good at sex so you have to buy a book, which is not true at all. (or could be)

And with PE, the implication that you would need to do that assumes there is a problem in the first place, which is a misplaced assumption. Like you said, I was average but wanted more.

I have noticed with the new Extenze commercials, they are focusing more on better sex quality and using size as an after thought. "Oh, and the added size is just a bonus", is what they are saying now.

I remember a Simpsons episode where Grandpa made a male tonic in his bathroom tub. He and Homer hit the road trying to sell it. At first Homer made the mistake in going up to a guy and saying, "Hey, you look like a guy having trouble satisfying his wife," and he got punched.

Then Grandpa shakes his head in dissapointment and begins to sell the product as adding pep to your love life. And they did quite well. Wow, what a difference in marketing.
