Please bare with me on this. I am not sure if this belongs in this section of this part of the forum or not.

This happened a long time ago. Back in February 2005, while i was masturbating i injured my penis in my bedroom and it had trauma caused to it. I was looking at a magazine and my dad opened our regular door and scared me because I thought he was going to come into my room since my bedroom does not have a lock. I remember i could not masturbate for around 6.5 months because of the injury and my penis shrunk at that time. I could not get hard the whole time either I was 18-19 years old. I'm 23 soon. I then went to my doctor and they looked at it and saw that i had some urinary tract infection but it was nothing serious according to them.

The problems that occurred after that accident was that since that day, i no longer get morning wood. When i pee, i have a split stream. When i pee, you see the urine coming out from 2 holes and the the other hole is right under the normal hole where i normally pee. The pee crosses each other but comes together but you can clearly see it is a split stream A doctor online in these messageboards mentions that this is because there is some blockage in your urethra. Does anyone know if this can be fixed surgically so my penis will urinate in one stream and not 2 streams?

I was 100 percent sure all this occurred b/c I injured my penis back in 2005. When i went to the doctors and urologists that i had to pay out of my own pocket b/c they didn;t accept my insurance, they all told me it is okay even though when i pee there is a split stream which was why i never bothered doing anything about it since 2-3 urologists told me the same thing.

The other big problem is that i cannot masturbate like i could before the accident. The only way for me to masturbate and get hard is to sit on a chair and squeeze my two legs so my penis points straight up. That is the only way i can get hard and stay hard and ejaculate. I can no longer masturbate while standing up or any other position and this is the only way i can get hard.

Another problem is that before the accident it is easy to masturbate. Like a normal person i would just rub my penis etc. But since the accident, i cannot do that. It seems very fragile when you touch it. It is hard to just grab it and just masturbate because it isn't possible.

I'm almost 23 years old now and i am so upset. Does anyone know if something can be done? The urologists i saw 4 years ago all told me i had no problems even though i described them all these problems i have. I no longer get morning wood, my pee split streams since when i look at my penis when i pee. Someone on the forums said it could be blockage of urethra.

Does anyone know if a urologist or any doctor can fix any of these problems? I know its been like 4.5 years already but i didn't do anything with the last few years b/c the urologists i saw all told me when i fine and i gaved up going to any more doctors.

Note, i was told i have a varicocele when i went to the urologist about 1 week ago. I am pretty certain i have grade 3 one. He on the other hand does not give a damn that my urine always splits in 2 streams and that i feel pain when i touch the bottom left of my penis. I mean it hurts when i touch the bottom left of my penis so I am positive there is damage there yet the urologist does not care. I am getting a sonogram done though this thursday but that only concerns my testicles.

I am pretty sure i have penile fracture and i read that if you don't go to the doctor within 12 hours or so, all hope is lost and nothing can be fixed. I read that symptoms include a pop which I am pretty certain i had and i also felt a weird sensation in that accident back in 2005. I also had a immediate loss of erection. I went to the doctor like 1 week after the accident because i was scared and hoped that it would get back to normal but it didn't. I also read that if you don't get it fixed immediately, well it give some erection problems in the future and now 4.5 years later, i still am like this because all the urologists i see tell me i have NO problem.

Anyone know if there is any hope now for my penis and my varicocele? Is there a chance i could not have gotten penile fracture? All doctors say it is not penile fracture but maybe it was too late? My penis was shrunk and could not get erect for 6.5 months at all. I have been depressed every day since that accident.

These are my problems now

1. Cannot get or maintain erection while i squeeze my legs into my penis. Thus i cannot maintain an erection while standing up. When i just play with my penis, i cannot get it erect. Before the accident, i could just grab it and just masturbate easily. When i touch my penis, it feels damaged because you cannot just push it left, right, down like normal.

2. My testicles got smaller. Most likely due to varicocele though the urologist tells me i should not worry. That may explain why i cannot get and maintain an erection?

3. The bottom left of my penis hurts when i touch it. this is not normal yet urologist don't do nothing. Someone in another forum said i could have torn something which makes sense

4. Split Stream. When urination, it splits into 2 and drips a lot. Same with my ejaculation since only way i can do it is by sitting on chair and squeezing legs into my penis. When i don't squeeze, penis loses erection. Ejaculation drips a lot as well.

5. No more morning wood. Before the accident, i got morning wood almost every day. I am almost 23 and never had morning wood ever since the accident when i was 18-19.

Mate if all this is true then find your self a better doctor now!, If you go to a doctor and he doesn't give a shit then don't go back to him/her.
I suffered for over 30 years from blinding headaches, every doctor i seen did not help ( though one offered to cut nerves in the neck until she found the one causing the pain - stupid bitch )
then one day while taking my kid to a new doctor ( we had just moved ) some how the topic of the headaches came up and with in two weeks this doctor had not only found the course but i was on effective treatment.

The point I'm making is, doctors are people too, some are good at there jobs, some are not so good, find one that will help. what ever the problem ends up being you deserved better especially if your paying for them to find out whats going on.

best of luck mate.

Best Hospitals - US News and World Report

The link above is for the "Best Hospitals" - Specialty List - Urology

Don't just go to a doctor at this point.
Suggest use above list to find a place associated with a very good university & medical school.

#1 - Johns Hopkins is so damn good I may retire to Baltimore just to be taken there when I am sick.

People travel thousands of miles to come here (Maryland) for treatment - just like they do to Mayo Clinic.

You need to see one of the best. Period.
And the best who specializes in penile trauma.

If you are able to have a discussion with one of the urologists who evaluated you - tell them this is what you want and can they help locate the place that has such a specialist.

Google searching may help you come up with something.
Just as an example - if you go to Amazon or the Web site for a medical book publisher(there are only a few) - search for a urology specialty textbook on penile trauma. The author or editor is a good place to start.
If he is a million miles away - call his office and ask for referrals.
Remember doctors help people and sometimes the help is to send someone to the right doctor.

With surgery, yes they can fix the problem with your urethra so you can have 1 stream instead of 2.

You said the only way to masterbate is to sit on a chair and squeeze your two legs so there can be more blood in your penis and have a stronger erection, which means you are suffering from Erectile dysfunction, with your heart beat to support enough blood for your penis to maintain a strong erection is not happening.

The only thing I ask you to do is to find a real Urologist now!

Aw dude, that's not good. I can understand why it's getting you down. Clearly there is a problem. Maybe you need to seek out someone who is more specialised than a regular urologist? Really hope you get this fixed, I can't even imagine what it would be like not to have fully functioning dick. All the best man!

i pulled my penis too hard or the wrong way while masturbating rugby.

I'm a little confused, the penis is very robust, the act of penetration by design exerts a lot of force on the penis structures and does so more than adequately.

It would take a lot of force to damage it by merely pulling it too hard or pulling it the wrong way.

Can you be more specific in how you actually injured yourself as you seem a little uncertain in that area yourself.

Masturbation resulting in injury is usually either extremely aggressive and violent or as a result of an underlying undiagnosed condition.

Either way, it does indeed sound like you need to see a doctor, two if needs be.

You can use an adjustable silicon cockring to maintain your erection. Your cock will get discoloured with time, but thats a side effect you will have to take if you want to achieve a 100% erection with a fractured penis.
Be sure to not use the ring for more 30 minutes, maybe even less in the begining.

If the fracture is as old as yours, it has healed it self by now, but the function is not the same. Use the ring and work on your pc-muscle and you will be able to get rockhard erections. Be careful, have an open mind and play

Well back then i saw a site that shows you can do penis exercises where you can get your penis bigger. I did that around that time. The thing is i was playing around with my penis that day in february 2005 but the thing is i was pulling it too hard and i was masturbating and then boom it did not feel right anymore. My penis shrunk and could not get erect for 6.5 months and i wanted to die.

Inchamad, i would like to know your opinion because you seem to know a lot. Since you said the thing that i have to squeeze my legs, that shows i have ED right? What you talk about as not enough blood there makes a whole lot of sense. I am still a virgin and am almost 23 because of this accident.

Do you know what type of surgery it is called to fix the urethra to make 1 stream instead of 2? I am pretty sure it is damaged there since there is STILL pain on the bottom left of my penis.

You guys are a lot of help. Thank you so much.

When i pee, i have a split stream. When i pee, you see the urine coming out from 2 holes and the the other hole is right under the normal hole where i normally pee.
If you have two holes in the tip of your glans I think the pee-stream problem is unrelated to any injury at the base of the penis. This can certainly be fixed.

The pee-stream is just annoying though, right? The real problem is erection. I looked this up and there are guys who have damaged their penises by pulling too hard on it in an awkward direction (the other main way of damaging it is girl sitting on top). For anyone else reading this, if it happens get seen in hospital right away as an emergency.

OK, an erection is both chemical and mechanical. When you get aroused, nitric oxide is released which opens up the blood vessels and lets blood into the three chambers in the penis which fill up and get hard. Blood still flows in and out, but it's about pressure difference - the penis is an amazing hydraulic device. If there is insufficient pressure where the blood goes in - no erection. This ED often happens when men are overweight, have unhealthy blood vessels etc (smoking is the worst for this). Drugs like Viagra are a chemical trigger which improves the blood flow going in.

It sounds like you have the opposite problem. You are young and otherwise healthy, so probably not a problem with insufficient blood flow going in. The fact that you can get an erection by squeezing with your legs suggests to me that this is restricting the blood flow going out, thus giving you the pressure difference you need. You may have some damage to one or both of the chambers on either side of the penis which is causing them to drain too easily and not build up the pressure normally. Can a surgeon fix this? I don't know, but as others have suggested do some research and find someone more specialised than a regular urologist. Most of all find a doctor who takes you seriously.

BTW I thought I had damaged my penis once as it started pointing to the left, like one side was damaged and not erecting properly. It didn't affect my masturbation and I wasn't sexually active so did nothing about it. It fixed itself eventually. However in your case I think you've given it long enough and it's not getting any better.

All the best with this mate! Really hope you can get it fixed.

i made a mistake. I do not have 2 holes. I have just 1 hole where urine comes out but it comes out in 2 streams. It crosses each other but goes straight though.

That happens to me sometimes when I've been masturbating a lot or having sex but rolling the head between my fingers usually sorts it out. If you have had an infection in the urethra I guess there could be scarring restricting the flow.

I am pretty sure it is damaged there since there is STILL pain on the bottom left of my penis.

Well what do all the doctors have to say about it?
Do your feet still work?
Use them to leave the doctors you have been seeing and go find one who will help you.

I think you are too concerned about 2 streams of urine.
That is a symptom - not a problem.
The urethra is simply like a tube or pipe or hose.
It carries fluid (urine) from the bladder to the outside.
If you have a double stream there is something interfering with the stream
Damage which when healed caused a change in flow.
Maybe some kind of scar to a damaged urethra.

What did they do as a work up?
Did they pass a scope tube into the urethra to look at the walls?
Did they do an x-ray dye study to see how the fluid travels
MRI
Cat Scan
Anything?

If not.
Why not.
You have pain
For years

I stand by my original suggestion
You need a specialist
beyond just urologist

LPSG is not the place for diagnosis and treatment

None of the urologists care. They think its all in my mind. I do not know which urologists in new york city will actually listen to me and do the tests. Only test i know that will be done is this Thursday when i have a sonogram done because i have varicocele.

So i need to see a specialist? A urologist is a specialist isn't it? Or do i need a surgeon?

I googled 'penis injury surgery'. The second hit was a NY specialist in penis surgery. What you need is someone who is dealing with this all the time, not just an ordinary urologist who has maybe never seen a case like yours before. All the best with finding someone!

The first thing I am going to tell you is that I also am a victim of an injury. Just like yourself, trying to get help for this injury was nearly impossible. Just like you my experiences with Insurance Carriers were very poor with an almost universal denial of payment even for examinations.

1. You need to see a specialist:

I know that you basically know this, but, there are specialists within a specialty.
Within Urology there are male reproductive specialists, Urological Oncologists, and many more sub categories.

You need a reproductive specialist. You will need to have a complete hormone panel run and that must include both serum and free floating testosterone level tests as well as a test for estrogen levels.

Your largest problem is first the erectile dysfunction. I also suffer from that. If you are not getting noctournal or early morning erections this indicates something rather obviously wrong.

I have found numerous cases where specialists ignore these complaints in men under 30 thinking that they just want viagra or some other erection boosting drug. Tell 'em there's nuthin" wrong, collect the charge for the office call and ship 'em out the door.

The repair of the scar tissue at the end of the urethra is a simple procedure and is easily done. Most MD's recommend putting up with it because surgical correction is painful and if you are prone to scar tissue the problem may happen again after correction is done.

The E.D. can be treated by Boston Medical. They do have clinics in NYC and that area. Treatment via this method is expensive. I had the same problem and the examination and first year of injectable E.D. medication cost me $2,500.

I went through more idiots who told me more old myths than you would believe. I was examined by Boston Med using two different tests, both were painless and both found damage and scar tissue in me that had caused the E.D..

The best news was that the problem ended right there! Take a shot and no more E.D.

Boston Medical is expensive, but when this kind of thing takes place at a young age it is devistating and it is also possible that the Boston Medical MD can give you a referral on the other problems as well. Get to the right place and you will get help.

Thanks Fuzzy Ken for saving me a lot of typing.
Was going to reply with many of the things you wrote.

Westall1 - Did you click on my US News link?

NY Presbyterian is listed at number 8 on the list
Here is a link to their webpage for Urology - ED

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) - Columbia Urology

Boston Medical Advertises on the radio here in the Washington DC area
Don't have any first hand experience but it is an option because erection problems is all they deal with.

NYU Medical is listed #21 on the list.

The other NYC hospital in the top 25 is Sloan Kettering (#5) and I would think their urology department is more geared toward cancer patients.

If it were me - I would go to Columbia Presbyterian.
or
I would make a special trip to Baltimore to John's Hopkins.

Good Luck

keep searching and trying other urologists, AND find a therapist. IF as many of your doctors stated in their finding, perhaps (some of) your issues need, as the saying goes: a check-up from the neck-up.

try not to worry, they human body is quite resilient and repairs itself and/or adapts well.

keep us posted.
