I'm not too clear on your vibrant passion on this matter. I get you don't like the thread.
But when you say " the actual answers (so far as they are known) are laid out clear as day in a linked article", well I disagree.
That article is from FATHERLY. This is Fatherly's "about us" statement:
"Fatherly is the leading digital media brand for dads. Our mission is to empower men to raise great kids and lead more fulfilling adult lives. From original video series and deep dive reports to podcasts and events, Fatherly offers original reporting, expert parenting advice, and hard-won insights into a challenging, but profoundly rewarding stage of life."
Hardly a scientific keystone.
Also note that article is full of qualifiers such as below:
"Scientists aren’t sure.."
" some
experts suspect"
"once we really do know just how genes influence physical outcomes,"
To the point I made about diet & environment having an influence on humans over and above genetics - here is a synopsis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome posted on Web MD.
https://www.webmd.com/baby/fetal-alcohol-syndrome
"Alcohol -- including wine, beer, and liquor -- is the leading preventable cause of birth defects in the U.S."
"To diagnose FAS, doctors look for unusual facial features, lower-than-average height and/or weight, small head size, problems with attention and hyperactivity, and poor coordination."
I think that supports my supposition that a mothers diet can have an influence over genetic predisposition.
I think we've run our course on this. I'll just agree we see things differently. I've tried to explain my view, you'll take it as you choose based on your life experiences. Enjoy your evening.
