Was thinking about this and whether or not there may be a correlation between having a large penis and displaying outward physical characteristics of higher testosterone levels (facial features, body shape, height, etc.). Though this is using a fairly limited pool of guys, the vast majority of male pornographic actors that are well endowed show signs of having naturally higher testosterone levels. Often times these men have fairly larger testicle, have athletic builds with broad shoulders and narrow waists, more masculine facial features....signs that they have higher testoreone levels compared to the average man. Now, it is obvious that these men are selected for not only their penis size but also their ability to perform.....but I doubt they'd also be selectively chosen for their outward appearance.

Based on your first hand experiences with well endowed guys, did you find them to be more likely to display signs of higher testoreone? Now, the argument isn't that a guy who has a bigger penis has more testosterone compared to someone else, but instead this is to see if there is perhaps a rough correlation between the two. Micropenises are found with men who had issues in relation to puberty and often undergo hormonal therapy, but that is one extreme with men who have a disorder and not the average men who is otherwise healthy.
Clearly not a biologist/doctor here.

all behavior cannot be explained by testosterone

True, but it makes no sense to look at T level only when it bumps near 300 or 1000. "Normal" covers a variety of sins. This medical dogma ONLY to restrict hormonal supplementation to "worst cases" in the interests of simplicity and dollars.

it's not just dollars and sensibility......the jury is out on long term effect of hormonal therapy....maybe there is a reason body regulates hormones.....

i remember i time when hormonal replacement was all the rage for women....post menopauseal wome were given estrogen left and right....turns out long term consequences just were not worth the gain

now I'm not against hormonal replacement.....damn im not even against peds....i think the medical profession should guild educate....not paternalistically control

however....as much fun as it would be to strut around like a rooster.....we don't get to be 25 forever....and not everyone gets heman t levels....and possible that's for a reason....

I thought the latest research is swinging the other way again?

Hard to know what to believe. A haematology consultant I dated said aspirin probably wouldn't get through the safety protocols if it were launched on the market today but remains a really useful drug in lots of ways? I'm not disagreeing with you, don't know enough about it.

yes very recently swinging the other way.....and in no way definitive....may go other way again....is my short time in medicine I have seen drugs go back and forth in an out of style

not really a drug....but think about caffeine..that seems to go in an out on health risk /benefit every other decade

Here I go again arguing with a medical professional!

You should recall that when hormonal replacement was the rage, they weren't using bio identical estrogen. They were using estrogen from HORSE URINE, all full of various impurities and not even one identical estrogen molecule in the mess! Mares used to stand in stalls FOREVER while their urine drained into troughs for processing. Birth control pills were also made from the mess. Gee, some women got cancer!

My grandmother got the old style estrogen treatment and lived to 98, playing golf until 93. She did get cancer. Tumors removed from her contained malignant cancer, but the cancer was totally encapsulated and never spread. She had a remarkable constitution. She grew-up on a farm and always saved and consumed as much lard as she could! Finally, she just couldn't get out of bed and faded away.

Now, if my sources are right, they mix data from that fiasco and abuse with reasonable bio identical supplementation data.

also two things here.....the people who are on the extremes are gonna be the ones how notice most benefit from.suplimentation.....lets say someone is feeling like crap....tired weak...and you take bloodwork and t level is 300....well the problem is probably low test....

now say level is like 500....the problem is more likely something else....

sure bumping someone up to 700 might make them feel like a teenager again....but feeding someones peter pan syndrome so they can chase 20 year olds is not a medical issue

the other thing....i once had an aids patient....at the time anabolic steroids were on cutting edge to stop muscle wasting in aids patients.....so i prescribed some....anyways.....the admin hospital and dea were asking questions with in an our...i am quite muscular....sofor about a year and a half....i had to hear snickers of dr juice behind my back.....so

ALSO legally you take a risk any time you deviate from the standard of care.....15 years down the road ....there could be a billboard....if your dr prescribed you testosterone replacement call dewey chetum and howe law office YOU MAY HAVE A CASE

it's gonna be hard explaining why you gave a testosterone patch to a 56 yearold man who was a bit lower than normal....cause he wanted muscles and an errection

personally i do take risks like that....i generally feel its the PATIENT body....but i understand it can bite me in the ass.....BUT i don't fault the the dr who have a little less guts

dude you can argue with me anytime....first of all I'm not dr here....im just your friend on internet.....and dr are NOT infalable.....a reasonably person can learn a ton more than a dr by proper reasesrch....especially if it's an area you care about

unfortunately and i do mean unfortunately....the system is set up as dr as gate keepers to a person's care

i am strongly against paternalist care....and controlling human

My ex father in law lived to 101 or 102....he had two birth certificates, with conflicting years. When asked by some official which one was correct, he replied, "I don't know. I was just a baby at the time."

He lived on a diet of fat and salt. Burgers, fried eggs, a bag of chips nearly every day, toast drowned in salted butter. When we cleared the table after he ate, the salt on the table made it look like it snowed. His blood pressure was always low...105/55 was typical.

The women on my mother's side tend to live to a ripe old age. Great grandmother lived to 101 and was chopping logs well into her 80s. If she hadn't fallen and broken her hip, sure she'd be be going strong today. Grandmother and her sister, 95 and 97. Farmers and fairly fit, good diet. All the men on my father's side (Scottish) keel over in their 60s :(
