I recall years ago a woman in a nightclub saying, with an air of arrogance in her voice, that she could step outside with any guy in the place and afterwards walk right back in like nothing had happened because, looking around as she said it, she didn't think any guy in the place was man enough for her. She had a few drinks when she said it. Before then she had been quiet, but the drinks had made her mouthy. I use to party a lot and was use to hearing just about anything when alchocol had kicked in, but that one sort of caught me off guard.
After a little while longer the band started playing, and there was quite a crowd by then built up. Probably over an hour after I had heard her say that I suddenly noticed her and a guy leaving. About 5 minutes later she comes back in and returns to her table. There was a guy(!) and a woman that had been sitting with her there the entire time. They were sitting there when she had said what she did. The guy who had gone outside with her came back in about minute after she did. He sat back down at a table he had to himself. I thought he appeared a bit bothered about something, but I wasn't sure what to make of it. Her earlier remark had me trying to guess what had occurred. I thought they had probably had sex. He sat there for only about a minute, finished his beer, and left. He didn't look her way, he didn't seem to look at anyone, and just made a beeline for the door.
I looked her way to see if I could any vibes from her (the place had become quite noisy and I couldn't hear their table anymore from the bar where I was sitting). She wasn't upset or bothered by anything like he appeared to be, that much I thought I could tell.
I've always had the impression that she took some pleasure in putting down guys that couldn't handle her. I can only imagine what happened in the parking lot at that nightclub, but it must have been sex related.
