Penny dreadful

... Very solid show - just not one for the squeamish.

That is for certain!... But, aside from the grotesque violence, and some really dumb choices of "special effects", (the naked, unexplainably scarified, alien, manikin witches, especially), and a few ridiculous, macho, "shoot-'em-up" scenes... It holds together as an interesting storyline.

One "special effects" choice that the production made, that I appreciate, was to NOT make Ethan into a "Hulk" when he transforms into a wolfman. He doesn't bust out of his clothing into a giant monster, conveniently wearing a Speedo, his brow and jawline doesn't suddenly become three times the size of normal... He just becomes Ethan as a hairy, toothy wolfman, at full moon... Still looking good in his now, blood-stained suit.

So, instead of fighting vampires, she's now decided to be one?... For what purpose?... Is it the old "If you can't beat them, join them" deal?

She must have something up her sleeve, or else she will succumb to "the Master"... Guess we might find out, next week.

What the hell. Was that the end of the series?
