To say that racial differences are also to be taken into consideration just grinds me a new one. If someone DID say all Indian women had huge tits, and I was one of the normal people who did not, it would hurt my self esteem more than knowing I was in the norm, like most other people. These types of stereotypes about hung blacks do the same thing. Most PEOPLE are average size, that's what average means! If some study went out with the intention of proving differences and came up with a quarter of an inch, I must say I'm not too impressed.

Whew! Thanks for getting back to the facts. I tried to state exactly the same thing several pages ago, but the thread was hijacked by a lot of emotion.
I was trying to say that the myth of black men being larger came from someplace, but that, as usual, the details got lost and the myth took on a life of its own. All we remember now is "black men are hung." We don't remember that the difference in size is 1) an average taken across an entire statistical sample, and 2) is so small a difference that it means nothing in our interaction with each other. That is to say that if you look at the black guy to your left, he is more likely as close to average as the white guy to your right. x( I'm not articulating well, but I think you get the point.
The study I'm remembering was not a self-report, and I believe it was African Americans, not Africans, versus caucasian Americans. I'm not having luck finding it on Pub-Med or other web sites. Do you have access to any of this research? I found something supporting your assertion that caucasian men are actually "larger", but I thought it was a self-reported study. Details would be good.

Amoung the girls I know who prefer black guys, many have had bad experiences with a white guy or several and prefer they way black guys treat them. I don't really know a lot of girls who fall into this category, so I'm only basing this on a few.
I have personally found "other ethnicity guys" are on one hand somewhat more appreciative of me, but on the other hand, somewhat more controlling. The only people who HAVE found that black guys are more than half an inch bigger than white guys on average just happen to also argue that penis size correlates negatively with intelligence. All the rest seem to find differences of millimetres.
As far as porn goes, there are other factors. You keep forgetting that racial stereotypes are innately part of interracial porn. And statistically speaking, if the average is similar, but you find more black guys in the 8 1/2"+ range, you'll find more black guys in the 0-3 1/2" range too. This is like statistics 101 here.
