It isn't my style of music though I must admit I have several friends who endeavor to play air guitar while expressing themselves through the death metal grow (yes I have done the dmg but NEVER done the air guitar which I find so inane, HELLO get a guitar and learn to play it) LOL!!!

OMG Jennifer Lopez has to be one of the biggest losers when it comes to being labeled as a singer. It's so sad for the audience that has to hear them 'live'. Gone are the days when people had to have talent to be a star. Now al you need is a cache or a person willing to film you.
The deteriorization of the talent pool and what radio has become because people thot all they had to do was have an image and sell it is really killing the idea of TALENT.And because of it the whole landscape of radio has changed to something completely different than I grew up with.
I used to enjoy diff. types of music on the radio. The Temptations one moment, Barry Manilow the next, then another person who ACTUALLY had a voice and not a mixer in the studio. Today, I never ever turn on pop music stations as I cannot abide the way the tide has turned. For the most part melodies are gone and so are great minds who write songs write w/a wry imagination and sense of time prose. Todays music to me is mostly ugly and horrendous and oh yes ugly. But I do love people that are contemporary like Mary J. I love her. I sooo appreciate a gal, ot guy, that can really sing. I so not however what to hear about Booty, guys against girks, girls against guys and street language. I hear that on the street and I don't need my 'art' to reflect real life all the time...esp from creepy rappers w/low riding pants. It's just ugly to me. Just My honest opinion.

I don't know about that. I don't profess to be a connoisseur of screamo but it sounds like this guy does a good job of it. There are instruments being played as well. It is also not an advertisement.

Screamo is huge with the kids. Of course it is. It annoys their parents and annoying parents is getting harder and harder to do every generation.

I think JLo's song is worse by pretty much every measure.
