crap, that freecreditreport.com song is better.

lol

f-r-e-e that spells free, credit re-port dot com bay-bee :biggrin1::wink:

it is much more creative than the JLO tune.

LOL! Actually the "freecreditreport.com" song that kinda irks me is the one where he winds up at a Renaissance Faire. I'd actually LIKE to go to a Renaissance Faire! I even have Faire garb! :biggrin1: (seriously...!)

Haven't heard the J-Lo song but a song that appears to just be about designer shoes doesn't bode too well in my opinion...

I couldn't even make it past the one minute mark. A whole minute of my life that I will never get back. I could say, in J-Lo's defense, that it is at least a little bit better than my all-time most hated song: Achy Breaky Heart.

Heehee... Yeah, that song was really annoying!

But, MY "worst" songs are entirely based on lyrics - mainly sexist ones or just lyrics that tweak me the wrong way. And oddly enough, some of these songs are by artists who I actually like some or even most of their other songs.

I give you some of my WORST songs:

1. "Girls" by Beastie Boys - sexism at its worst. However, the Beastie Boys later renounced sexism and will no longer perform this particular song. And yes, I like a lot of their other songs.

2. "Papa Don't Preach" by Madonna - This one just tweaks me the wrong way. "Material Girl" used to as well but after reading the "Misheard lyrics" to it I just get a chuckle if I hear it now! :biggrin1: And yes, I like a lot of Madonna's other songs.

3. "Stronger Than Me" by Amy Winehouse - what was she thinking doing a song that advocates gender stereotyping and name-calling of someone who doesn't "conform"?! Maybe she was on crack when she did it. :biggrin1: And yes, I like her other songs - just not THIS one...

And don't get me started on gangsta rap... ugh... (most of it anyway, although I do have to admit that even gangsta rappers have some talent... I've heard good stuff from them but it's hard to listen to them after their misogynist and violence-glorifying stuff...)

Since when was J-Lo's music ever relevant? It is just a bunch of noises and technology tweaks over a rather weak voice.....it never changes the fact that her singing has always been terrible: live or recorded.

ah yes...the renaissance fair one...

that one is on the level of the working at the fish restaurant dressed like a pirate one...where he has that dumb country twang..."shoulda gone to freeeeee credit report.com...i coulda seen this comin at me like an atom bomb"

the techno beat-rock star one is the absolute worst

of course, here is a compilation of all of them

Lady Gaga has all of those psuedo-divas feelin' their necks. J-Lo wouldn't know how to even turn a fucking keyboard on, let alone make any kind of a pleasing sound come out of it.

J-Lo also knows that she can't rock a leotard and heels. Although I'd seriously like to see her try.

Now if she could learn to sing out of her ass, then that would be something that people would pay to see and hear.

Seriously... did she get like a couple of inches of air when she bounced up off of her asscheeks last week? My dad swore that she did...

Singing Girls was fine for the Beastie Boys when they were horny frat boys without a clue. Singing it now they'd come off as creepy middle aged men.

Once again, at her age, it's a wee bit unbelievable.

Re JLO

I did no know that it was possible to compose a song and use only 3 notes. Okay, I'll be generous.....4 notes.

Most singers just don't or can't sing anymore. It's all filtered through those computer pitch correction machines until there's nothing left but a computer generated voice.

One review I read of Kris Allen's CD (last American Idol Winner) is that it's nice to hear an actual human voice.

oh this is priceless:

JLO has given us her important artistic concept and thoughts as to what "inspired" her to create the song "Louboutins"

"It’s basically about when you get to that point in a bad relationship and you’re like, ‘Damn, I really have to leave. It’s just not good for me,’. This song is actually about when you’ve made the decision—I’m out. It’s not the girl who’s like, ‘I’m gonna take my stuff, and I’m gonna put on my sweatpants, and I’m gonna cry, and my girlfriends are gonna pick me up and we’re gonna go eat ice cream.’ It’s not that girl. This girl is like putting on her hottest dress and her sexiest Louboutin shoes, and leaving your ass"

I am sure many of JLO's fans can just throw on their $1,000 Loubitins and leave your ass.

The AMA's last week was shit, but then again that's what happens when money hungry corporations don't know good music if it bites them in the ass and have to use that "sex sell, songs fuck it" slogan in most of their performers. But I don't know which is worse on last week's AMA:

Jermaine Jackson in all his greasy lumpy glory whoring his own children and thanking Alah for all I care about the MJ awards. All you need is a wig, skirt, and fuck me pumps.....he'll right away be a 2 dollar whore for nothing. That's what Jermaine is all about. "Me, me, me.....and I love whoring myself."

Whitney Houston's breathy singing......though we have to give her credit when credit's due, but still that voice of hers is gone already.

Or J-Lo's suppose comeback. That'll make an intersting spoof. The comeback could be called the "fall-back."

But then again.....this award show does show how low music really is now, thanks to nonsense crap on the air like rap or whatnot.

the song Nick Jonas sang the other night at that awards concert where he sang with the Administration was pretty bad in my opinion. Why he thinks he
s ready for a solo project is beyond me.

Speaking of...

Happened to flip past the Ellen degeners show and caught Lady Gaga singing (not the over dubbed layered crap but singing, just her and a piano and was SHOCKED, I actually liked the song.... (she later said in the interview that folks are surprised she can sing...so was I...)
