It's a very good idea to know what's in anything you put onto or into your body, though. And almond oil (a triglyceride) actually contains glycerine, chemically bound to other carbon chains. Almost all vegetable oils and animal fats are variations on glycerol. If it can be used to make soap, it contains glycerine.
But again, if your wife reacts badly to it, then of course, she shouldn't use it.
