I can relate to this one. No one ever made the accusation to me directly, but one time in college my roommate informed me that, outside of my presence, a group of the guys in our dorm had a conversation speculating that it didn't get hard. (They had all seen it in the shower.) A different group of friends also used to joke that I needed to call the bloodmobile for a transfusion whenever I had sex.

I seem to remember you saying this before -- no doubt in a previous incarnation of this forum! I may well have posted this response the previous time too, but I'll risk repeating it:

I agree that it does almost always take longer than it might for a much smaller guy for all the space to engorge with blood, although I have on occasion under extreme provocation known some lightning hardons that made me dizzy and endangered my clothing , I suppose proving the partial truth of the usual comment (another peeve ?) about blood leaving the brain.

I also agree that experiencing and watching the process of erection is a terrific turn-on, even if a 100% narcissistic one Seeing it it pass inexorably from one stage to the next is great, even if at my age the novelty ought to have worn off long ago!

But when you say that you deliberately hold it back at one stage or another to vary your pace, it implies a degree of fine control over your third leg I have to envy. What is your secret?

Yeah, I have posted about this topic before. I have the occasional "lightning hard-on" too, and that is also fun.

As for holding it back, I don't have any special secret and I don't think I have any unusual degree of control. It's just a matter of stopping-and-starting my stroking (and sometimes thinking of unsexy thoughts like, say, Hillary Clinton) so that I don't let it get fully hard. It's similar to what I think is called "edging."

Nope. The dizzy feeling comes from blood rushing to the brain, not from it. When your face turns red during arousal, do you really think that indicates that your head is not receiving enough blood? When arousal occurs, it sends a signal to the brain that more blood is needed for erection. The heart responds by working overtime and sending blood to all the extremities, not by cutting off and rerouting the supply meant for another body part. The dizzy sensation, flushed complexion, sweat breaking out, tingling in the fingers and toes ... all of these are symptoms of those body parts affected being engorged with a glut of blood, not deprivation of it.
