Needless to say, I won’t be taking anonymous medical advice from the members of this forum.

That said, does anyone have experience with Peyronie's disease? Diagnosis, treatment, what to expect, what to avoid, etc.?

I plan to see a urologist as soon as things settle down a bit more, but in the meantime ...

Thanks.

Avoid - any stress on penis (definitely sex)
Can take pain killer (anti-inflammatory)is pain is severe

I plan to see a urologist as soon as things settle down a bit more, but in the meantime ...(kindly get an online appointment as soon as possible)

Also - was your penis bend or is it curved
- have you got your penis hurt recently while in act that might have caused a tissue tear, whatever the case get an online appointment soon.

Things would be fine at early treatment stages.

Although don't panic it's treatable & can be Diagnosed within 2-6 months depends on the case n severity.

Thanks.

I experienced the severe curvature caused by Peyronie's disease. In 2002 I had injections performed in the plaque of my penis at my Tulsa, OK Urologist's office. They did nothing for the plaque reduction, my curve worsened in time.
In 2004 I was informed about Dr. Reed in Miami, FL and called his office to schedule an appointment. My Urologist was retiring and no longer did any surgeries. Dr Reed examined me and I had surgery two days later. It worked out fine for me, and my erections are now straight with no curvature, but I did lose 1 3/4 inches in length from this dreaded disease.
I have heard there's a new oral medication that sufferers can take for Peyronie's. No word on the efficiency of the med.
Best of wishes for your recovery. Peyronie's sucks.

Thank you for the info. I have noticed a slight (but obvious) bend at the end of my penis when erect, as well as a mass (for want of a better word) on that side, which seems to match the description of a “plaque.”

Any experience with how this progresses? How fast, etc?

Mine started with pain just below the glans near my circumcision scar. I went to my PCP at the time who referred me to an urologist. The plaque in my penis is anterior so it has caused a slight upward curve, I used to point straight up vertically. It took about 6-12 months or so to stabilize and for the pain to go away.

I can't remember how long mine took to develop, but i think perhaps only a few months, yes I also got a lump on my cock which was sore. Mine now has quite a curve, but its not sore anymore, l do miss my old straight (and bigger) willy !!

I’ve had plenty of experience with this.

I’ll chronicle my journey.

I noticed some curvature. I mentioned it to my urologist. He referred me to a specialist. I tried exercises. Not much resolution.

Unfortunately, I next had a penis injury. I ruptured the tunica. I had to have an emergency surgical repair. The healing process and the repair site caused increased scarring and plaque formation. I discussed this with the urologist. I underwent a penile ultrasound to document the plaque and any vascular leakage. The curvature was also measured at that time. I was deemed a candidate for Xiaflex. After some wrangling with insurance, the injections were covered. I received 2 injections, separated by the appropriate interval. I must tell you that the injections were more painful than the recovery from the surgery for the penis injury.

I was instructed to massage and try to reduce the plaque. I noticed some significant reduction of the plaque.

I was instructed to use a vacuum (pump) to help.

I, also, was instructed to use a traction device. I tried the andro-penis and couldn’t get my penis to fit in comfortably. I found that the penimaster pro was much more comfortable and allowed for longer periods of time wearing.

I think the combination of the Xiaflex and traction device provided the most success.

The curvature was reduced by about 20%.

I, too, like others have mentioned, have noticed some reduction in length.

If you notice that you are having pain and greater plaque formation, see your urologist. Get a referral to some who specializes in Peyronie’s. Time is truly of the essence. The longer you wait, the worse it will get.

Feel free to message me if you’d like more information and insight.

An open question to those who have or are dealing with this... I'm interested to see if there is a connection with taking Atorvastatin and the onset of Peyronie's disease

That's an interesting question that I didn't think about before. I was briefly on a station shortly before my onset. My doctor stopped it because I was having bad muscle pain in my shoulders. My cholesterol was really not high enough to warrant the use of a staying to begin with. I would be interested to hear if others were on a station before onset as well.
