Hey hey,
I had a few docs confirm that I had a case of it. The urologist confirmed it and said it could be fixed by cutting a wedge where the curve is and angling it straight. The down side, he said: shorter overall length :( Also, the possibility of botching it.
In the end I elected to just leave it alone.... boys say they like it anyway :)

Unless it interferes with sex I would not worry about it, but if it does like mine did......

I opted for surgery for my congenital curvature, not technically peyronies since it has no plaque causing it. I am going to update w/ pictures shortly. Went from 45deg downward to damn perfectly straight now, apparently downward is the worst kind of curve. FYI I was having problems/pain with intercourse with the curve.

I think I have it because of a few symptons that match it....

1. I'm feeling something kinda hard in the middle of my shaft when flaccid.
2. When erect i'm having a little pain when having sex.
3. As you could see in my pics I have a slight curve.

Will this pain go away? Once it goes away I have no complaints with the curve.

OK! I went to a Doc and he confirmed that it is peyronie's i have and I should jus leave it alone and hopefully the pain won't get worst but he says it might last for about a year, so i'm hoping everything goes well!

Hey there RickmanTT, I just looked up some pics of true sufferers of Peyronie's disease. OMFG! I'm not a doctor but you are NO WHERE near as bad as some of them cats I saw! If u want to go to the doc then be my guest but unless they tell u it's getting bad, avoid the doc/knife all together. Your penis seems fine; so what if it has a curve. Take it from me, I had a boyfriend who had a mild case of PD and our sex life was fantastic. Don't worry, you're fine.

I personally had a Nesbitts procedure (cutting the longer side to straighten it up) and I can say that although it is painful (and resulted in Circumcision) it is worth it. Mind you, you wont be wanking for 6 weeks+

Peyronies is rough. There are several treatment options for this condition from a drug therapy to surgical options. The problems with the conditions can be tough, the problems with the treatments can be equally tough. There is no simple answer. The main considerations are discomfort and functionality.

When it comes to penile problems the one discovery I have made with mine (not Peyronies but ED) is that most MD's do not know what they are doing, they are uninformed of new treatments and they are basically unwilling to take the time to learn what is new or can be done. They love to turn you into a regular income by keeping you coming back again and again and again. Seek a specialist in this kind of issue with a published and notable track record. You can do this via the internet. Look for names in research and then trace from those names to names that have the latest and best information.

Judging from your pics, you have very little curvature. Nevertheless, I would suggest that you visit your urologist ASAP to set your mind at ease.

I would recommend against surgery unless the problem becomes severe. I had penis-straightening surgery 21 years ago (not for Peyronie's, but for a downward curvature, similar to one of the previous posters). It is painful, it shortens your penis and it induced a curvature to the left. I have been able to partially correct this through jelqing and stretching, but really wish (20/20 hindsight) that I had never had the surgery or at least got more information. My advice, as I say, would be to consult a urologist and perhaps try the stretching/straightening exercises that can be found on this and other websites. LPSG member Big Al (who regularly posts here) is a creditable source of advice.

Good luck!

Try PE (penile enlargement exercises, like jelquing...see the PE thread here). PE can really help a lot! Give it 6 months or so. I had a very mild case of peyronies, then after a few months of PE, no issues. Still a slight curve, though not as significant. Plus bigger stiffer erections (bonus :)

i too had the Nesbits procedure done at 27 years old. Everything 346664 says is true.. I'll also add that it results in losing some length, which was disappointing because I felt like I didn't have a lot to spare! Later l was able to restore my length and a little more by using a penis pump regularly..
