Wow this is horrible, I didn't think he was one of the best, I thought he was quite possibly the best actor of the current generation.

i liked him, but what makes people say this so much? seems like everyone thinks hes the Jack Nicholson or Al Pacino of our generation, but im not seeing it. What movie are people talking about when they say this? havent seen Capote, but i seen him play a crazy guy in boogie nights and big lebowski. Dont know if that makes him the greatest but he is rad

The Master
Jack Goes Boating
The Ides of March
Doubt
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
The Savages
Mission Impossible III
Capote
Owning Mahowny
Punch-Drunk Love
Love Liza
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Magnolia
Happiness

A master performance in every single one of them, absolutely captivating without losing an ounce of realism.
I haven't seen all his movies yet but out of the ones I have seen this is the list I came up with.

I saw one of his last films "A Late Quartet" just last week.
Great actor. What a loss.
