This is my first thread about philosophical questions. More will follow if people find it interesting.

The goal is trying to answer the question with me trying to prove your answer is wrong.
One exception is enough to prove it's wrong. (Anyone else can pitch in and try to prove that btw.)

Question: Is there something as an UNDENIABLE truth?

Discuss and give an example.

The only undeniable truth is that there are no undeniable truths. :biggrin1:

For he's a jolly good fellow, which nobody can deny.

I would think there has to be some sort of disclosure.

I shot the Sherriff. [Undeniable]
But I swear it was in self-defence... [not so]

Sorry - maybe not such a great example...

Hmm, well played dear Mem, well played. I'll think more about this, but you've got a good point.

It's actually an oxymoron of a sentence. There can not be any undeniable truths if there are none, but it is one.:eek:

Is there proof that you shot the sherrif? Unless it's on videotape, you can't prove it. Even witnesses aren't 100% reliable.
