Photo requests

MichaelWith11: So today in my Yahoo mailbox there was the following note, which I quote in its entirety:

"Please send photos, you're huge. caught your stats on lpsg."

No "Hi there."

No salutation at all.

No signature.

And from a stanger, whom I will not embarrass by naming.

Don't people understand that notes like that one are insulting?

mindseye: Michael --

Sorry you felt insulted by the message. I don't know who sent the message, but I'll play the devil's advocate for a moment. . .

Not all cultures have the same attitudes toward sex and nudity as we do -- it may very well be that the person sending the message didn't know you would interpret it as rudeness. He may have intended it to be a compliment.

Similarly, he may have interpreted your username as a boast and was seeking verification of it.

Then, of course, he may have just been an illiterate pervert. Lord knows there aren't enough of THOSE on the internet!

I agree with Michael. It was presumptuous, to say the least. I'll admit that I have an exhibitionistic side to me, but I'm not on the Internet to show my cock off. When asked politely, I've been known to send a nude photo when requested. What Michael received was not a polite request. And Michael shouldn't be expected to 'verify' his schlong size upon demand. The contents of his toolbox are his alone. If Mike wants to show his 11 to the world, that's fine; if not, that's fine, too. But it's his choice, not that of the pushy creep who e-mailed him.

mindseye: I didn't intend to imply that Michael should have granted the request; only that the person making the request was probably not intending to be rude.

MichaelWith11: And to continue....

It's not the request itself that's the big deal. We've all had our share of those and have probably granted more than a few of them - I know I have. It's the lack of preamble or any sense that I'm an actual person, rather than just a big cock that can type. Whether the asker is male, female, straight, gay, bi, white, black, or whatever doesn't matter so much as some effort to treat me - and by extension, all of us - as more than a one-person big-cock website. That desire, I hope, transcends national boundaries and reaches even to the country of the person who sent me the request. (I believe he is one of our European members.)

OTOH, I could be making too big a deal out of this. :)

I think most people who are truly rude never intend to be rude. I believe it was Oscar Wilde who said "a gentleman is one who never offends another person . . . unintentionally."

biggbenn8: I simply hit the delete key.

If they are clueless enough to realize that "hi, you have a big dick, send me a picture" (if that well written) just does not send me into spasms of erotic desire or curiousity, then do not need a response...

They, hopefully, will at some point, figure it out. I will not send a pic unless I have talked to the person. Everyday you read about another 'sting'...

I don't do pics.

Nothing could be worse than finding out that that 20 year old guy begging for your picture turns out to be a 14-year-old who's FBI dad keeps tabs on his e-mail.

Slingshot: I likewise have a policy of not doing pics: there are so many reasons against it. Once you send someone a picture of yourself, it's beyond your control, and who knows where on the internet it may end up? As for graphical evidence of my endowment, the "photo-as-proof" thing is invalid because of the ease of tampering, as has been pointed out in another thread.

In addition, I too am very leery of inadvertently communicating with a minor - I remember the first time I PMed you, Michael, I was slightly worried that you may turn out to be a teenager. You can understand I was relieved to hear you had a teenage son....

7by6andahalf: I agree with Michael:

I am a guy with a good size hose, who was also born with one testicle and a birth defect of the penis called hypospadias. I don't pee out the end like most, but down out of the shaft. It makes my head look like the back of a coal shovel.

I am on other forums for one nutted guys and those with hypospadias and have gotten a lot of spam from perverts; I don't feel flattered to know some out there consider my condition titillating or have the fetish for sex with a guy with ambiguous genitalia.
It makes me angry to be thought of as a sideshow attraction.

Aside from the legal risks, and having a photo that is definitely unique running around cyberspace, it doesn't serve any useful purpose. I am quite open about this and will discuss it intelligently with anyone, as long as I can feel some sincerity. These picture traders don't get it.

donkeyboy: I can only half-heartedly sympathise with some of these comments as some guys have publicly 'advertised' themselves on this site, anyway...But, hey, don't take life so seriously man! I, too, get some strange requests, but either ignore them or if someone sends me their pics first, i'll happily send them one of me as i have nothing to hide, dude and i have a lot of joy and happiness to spread :)

meathose10: I don't usually send pics , either - especially not if it's a tactless demand like Michaelwith11 got. I go online to communicate with other people , not send porn. Maybe if I felt I trusted somebody after a period of time and we had a lot in common I might send something ,(it's not like I have a shoebox full of nude shots , anyhow) but I had an unpleasant experience with that. I sent a picture of me with my hose dropped out of my fly and it ended up on some big cock site. The guy had the courtesy to chop off my head at least, but the photo was taken in my house in front of some curtains.....one day a woman who's been over here a few times said "I saw your curtains on the internet." I was , like , "Huh?" thinking it was on ebay or something (these particular ones are vintage) but she was all giggly ......It took a few days to dawn on me and I got up the nerve to ask her. She wrote out the site , and Lo and Behold!.... Now, I'm a confident guy and pretty much a show-off about my size , but it was weird having no control. Be careful out there ! God knows how many other people she showed it to.....

gwilson: I get those same messages all the time.. not a nice thing at all. While I don't really make a secret of the fact I'm packing more than the average (not that I really could), I don't usually send photos of IT to just anyone who emails.

I'm guessing quite a high percentage of the actively-posting LPSG guys get them often too?

aussiechick63: SEND NUDE PICS.. send nude pics !!!!! :-*
just kidding
I wouldn't have the guts to email someone and ask them to send me a photo of themselves nude .I think that is really rude, especially if you don't know the person. I guess you just ignore requests like that and hope the person goes away.

smoothie: I'm not shy, but agree with the point that you lose control of the image once you send it out, people flick it on to friends etc. You'd be brave or crazy to send out a picture that included your face.

It is ridiculous for anyone to even ask.
