Someone gave me Gold Membership status a while ago. Thank you mystery person! Anyway, this has enabled me to look at the gallery. It's gotten to the point where I can tell the straight men from the gay men pretty well by just looking a one picture. I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part it seems that straight guys tend to take pictures of their erections -- only. Also, the straight men tend to focus on the "archetectural" aspect of the erection, as though they are taking a picture of a structure, a building, etc.
With gay men, it seems they are more likely to take pictures of full body and the pictures are more sensual. The penis is incorporated into the overall experience of having a male body, etc.
Pretty funny. But I just realized (hadn't realized this when I started writing this out) but I fit right in with the straight guys. All erection photos, close-up with virtually no indication of sensuality, lol. :biggrin1:
ADDENDUM:
I never meant to imply that one orientation or style of photography is better than another. If anything, the underlying issue I was actually sort of hinting at (and it's something I admire about gay men, generally) is that gay men tend to be more in touch with their sensuality than straight men. This is actually something I've read in sex manuals: one complaint women sometimes have about men is that they focus mostly on genital pleasure as opposed to full body pleasure and sensuality.
